Heres some Oscar trivia for you: in 1998, Bob Seger was nominated for Best Original Song for Shakedown. Somehow that just came to mind after reading that Al Sharpton, fresh from his meeting with the leadership of Sony Pictures Entertainment, has called for an emergency meeting in Hollywood to assess possible action around the Academy Awards. Like the Rocky Mountains, Sharpton wrote, the higher the movie industry gets, the whiter it gets.

One of these I could almost get behind... it sure would put the news Nazis in a quandary.
The Klan With The Tan meets the Gay Mafia. Oh, my!
Haven’t seen any of the Best Picture noms, but will see American Sniper this weekend. The others? Meh.
How does one boycott the Oscars? Are they threatening to not watch the telecast? Why would anyone give crap if a bunch of people (who weren’t going to watch the Oscars anyway) don’t watch the Oscars?
Go ahead AL attack Hollywood , a group that supports you , LOL
Oscar’s been dead to me since Michele Rodriguez got snubbed for her brilliant performance in Battle Los Angeles.
” The Klan With The Tan meets the Gay Mafia. Oh, my!”
Popcorn ?
The studio’s will probably ask for a gubment bailout if blacks boycott to cover up their incompetence.
LOL
And don't forget that it is Soros funded !
Let’s not kid ourselves, this is all part of the marketing strategy to get the Best Picture Award for Selma (The cruci-fiction of LBJ for Vietnam). This strategy is relying strongly on the white guilt vote, which is so prevalent amongst the Hollywood effete.
Unbelievable.
Have seen ‘The Imitation Game’. Very interesting story ‘based’ in actual events. Heavy handed with the ‘anti-gay agenda’ in the 40’s-50’s in Britain. I have a hard time with people who judge history by the mores of today. That being said, I would recommend it, but then go read the actual history.....the movie is close, but not altogether true to history.
Sure Val, I kin hep you wit dis Hollywood matter.
But it'll cost ya. No IRS agents. Ya read me?
When an Oscar was Given to Hattie McDaniel for her role in GWTW, SHE was criticized for playing “Mammy”.
Her retort was “I would rather get an Oscar for PLAYING a slave, than BE a slave!”
So, you’s damned if you’s do and you’s damned if you’s DON’T!
Sometimes, things don’t get nominated for the simple reason that they are lousy movies!
Hands Up No Oscar!! I like that
Just once I would like one of these groups or organizations targeted by Al and his Racebaiters Inc. to tell him to pound sand. It’ll never happen but I’m enjoying the fact that the liberals are gripping over this. What goes around comes around and you reap what you sow. So true.
