Katherine Kropas had no idea she was pregnant with a 10-pound baby until an hour before she gave birth.
Kropas, 23, started her day off Tuesday with intense back pain, but at first, doctors couldn't find anything wrong with her. Then, they did an ultrasound.
"They took one look, and they rushed me off into labor," she told ABC's Boston station WCVB. "I found out that I was having a baby at 10:15. She was born at 11:06 p.m."
She gave birth to a baby girl, Ellie, who weighed 10 pounds and 2 ounces. Kropas told WCVB she felt that she'd put on some weight, but figured maybe it was just typical holiday weight gain.

How do you NOT know??
I did have a friend whose periods were so irregular that she didn’t notice for about 4 months, but she figured it out when she was gaining weight and her boobs hurt all the time.
WOW...I’m speechless.
My DW knew when she was 1 cell heavier. She didn’t even miss her period!
That was my first thought. If I were more than a week late I’d be taking an EPT and if that came up negative I’d be off to the doctor’s office.

This happened to the bio mom of one of my cousins. My cousin would have been the bio family’s 5th or 6th kid and the mom was totally overwhelmed ... so my aunt and uncle adopted the baby.
Funny thing is, the older we get the more we two look alike. We’re not even “real” cousins but I guess being raised among similar people had an affect on us ;-) My world would be a lonely place without my cuz so I am glad the birth family made their decision.
It’s rare, but sometimes the monthly visits continue despite pregnancy.
Not only is she fat, but she’s stupid.
I hate to be mean, but really... even as a teenager I knew better.
She missed 9 periods and had no idea.
She had a 10 pound baby in the oven.
Two words.
Fat. Stupid.
