Florida State Seminoles players returned from the Rose Bowl to find their cars keyed and their tires slashed.
The Florida State Seminoles carried a 29-game win streak into the Rose Bowl match up against the No. 2 Oregon Ducks on Thursday. The game serving as a semi-final match up for the first ever College Football Playoff.
The defending national champion Seminoles felt disprespected to be seeded despite and undefeated 2014 regular season. That ranking looked fair after Oregon handily defeated the Seminoles in the Rose Bowl, 59-20.
It was an embarrassing loss for the Seminoles, but an impressive victory for the Ducks.
As for Florida State fans and faithful, they took the loss rather harshly. When the Seminoles returned home, they found their cars had been vandalized.
Freshman linebacker Anthony Valdes tweeted about the condition in which they found their cars.
Winning a national championship in college football is incredibly difficult, and repeating is even harder. It is pretty ridiculous for the fans to lose their minds and act out like a bunch of spoiled brats after things dont go their way.
It wasnt like they were Oklahoma losing to Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl years ago. There is no shame in losing to Oregon, a school that has been a perennial contender and nearly defeated the Auburn Tigers several years ago for a national championship during Cam Newtons college days.
But as weve all seen on Twitter, the Florida State fans arent always the most reasonable and logic fans so maybe this is on me for being shocked by this behavior.
And I thought Florida fans were harsh.
Of, for the Salad Days (whatever that means, presumably according to Shakespeare) of Spurrier and Bowden.
At least UF fans still show up for the games (for the most part). FSU couldn’t sell out a barn.
Lot of empty seats in The Swamp the last few years.
At least they didn’t burn the town down. YET.
Bookies may have lost money in the deal...NOT so much the Bookies, but the FSU fans that ‘MAY’ have been surprised how ‘bad’ the spread was - thinking FSU was a lock, no matter how good the other team is/was.
Heard that the Florida Bookies had to ‘add points’ to the Vegas Odds just to keep the hometowners interested..(HA)...
No need for the fans to act that way. Believe me,Florida isn’t the only place where that happens, tho.
Time to get the BB guns out, you Seminoles. Time to shoot up the town,
odd, considering most FSU fans come come from their richest recruiting environment; the florida state penitentiary.
Someone needs to tell that boy that there is a difference between getting beaten while giving it your best shot, and quitting at halftime when you get down by a score. First half 18-13. Second half 41-7.
Wonder if the prosecutor is planning to give a fresh look to some files.
So why is “Seminoles” okay but “Redskins” and Stanford “Indians” are not?
-PJ
Stanford Indians is never okay.
Cuz they're the Stanford Cardinal.
We’re any crab legs harmed during this timeframe?
Go Ducks!!
The Seminole Tribe of Florida endorses use of the name.

How about the big southeast Oklahoma high school rivalry between the Idabel Warriors and the Broken Bow Savages? If football isn’t your thing...rent a cano from Ambush Adventures and take a trip down the Little River
Only because Indians weren't okay after a long time of being just dandy.
