'Liam Neeson says hes received many letters from Americans too scared to travel to Europe after watching the Taken films.
The 62-year-old actor stars as retired CIA agent Bryan Mills in the action franchise and admits fans have written to him saying theyre frightened of travelling abroad due to the storylines in which his wife and daughter are kidnapped.
Speaking on the Graham Norton Show, while promoting 'Taken 3', he said: Just the other day I got a letter from a school teacher in Texas who had tried to take 60 students to Europe and the families of 40 of them got the kids out of it because they had seen Taken 2.
And then this year she wanted to take 20 of them and the parents all said, No, because weve seen that movie!.'

I got to see a little of rural Scotland plus Edinburgh once back in the early 90s.
Where rural, and I hope you enjoyed it. And come back.
I thought he converted two years ago.
Absolutely...running out of coffee is very scary! :-)
(LOVE that movie!)
And Kim Jung Il single handedly took out SONY...
Liam, you can’t top the fraud that SONY perpetuated...
He didn’t,complete non story.
Not really. I’ve been there and done that. Traveled the world for my job. Been to 45 states. With all the hassles of traveling today, I don’t see a point.
I’m happy where I am at, with the exception of getting the food I love. Oh wait, I have my corned beef, pastrami and egg rolls shipped in.
Some of the outside of a place called Rosyth. Early June of 1992 and my 21 birthday just happen to fall in. Trip courtesy of Uncle Sam’s Haze Gray Sailing Club.
I would love to come back being a civilian. I’d love to see all the UK. Armed with a laptop, blank discs, the lumix 4K and all the memory I could afford plus a few changes of clothes would be all I need. I travel light.
My company’s main corporate office is outside of Glasgow but I don’t see me as important enough to get a trip over. I just deal with the broken, dead and dying computers and printers. Good outfit.
Nope.
Who in bloody blazes wwould wish to travel to a mohammedan-soiled continent, such as Europe?
I think the “Hostel” Movies would keep me out of Eastern Europe.
I suggest someone make some films to put people off coming HERE illegally...
Been to Europe 4 times since 9/11. Looking to go again later this year.
Of course, I have the skills Liam displays in the movies.
The only thing that is stopping me from traveling to Europe is lack of money. Since flying is out of the question I would have to go on a ship. I would want to pack like I was in “Joe vs the Volcano”. I would also have to have enough money to be over there at least 6 months if not longer because I want to see a lot of places and it would likely be a once in a lifetime trip.
I could spend months just in the UK trying to track down my history before moving on to France, Italy, Austria, Germany and who knows where else.
No stupid movie would stop me if I had the funds.
Situational awareness is a must EVERYWHERE you go. Know what is going on, take note of any other people and always locate all exits. Too many people with their minds on their damn smart phones and not enough attention to what is happening around them.
BS...ITS EUROPE ITSELF! Besides who want to speak arabic?
Attended mass at St. Germain des pres.
It's a very small number. Very. Small.
