Embarrassing.
YIKES.
Meh. Trudeau is a leftist moron. A slightly more refined version of Ted Rall. Complete garbage.
And, somehow, I thought he was actually going to produce a punch line after BD mentioned it.
Stuck in the 60’s..............I bet he still listens to Grateful Dead tapes..................
“Dad’s right, Mom. Our brand’s at risk.”
Ironically, truer than he intended.
Strips like these will keep Hillary from the White House, if only to keep her serial predator husband out. Bill Cosby is just the warm-up act.
Doonesbury might (<— Notice I said MIGHT) have been mildly humorous...back in the early 1970s. I’m surprised it’s still around.
So the liberals go to their fallback position: "Well, maybe it's not true. But it calls attention to the problem of rape on campus."
I’m waiting for his strip on the Duke lacrosse player gang rape.
Like many in the liberal media, Trudeau has successfully wrapped up political propaganda in entertaining packaging in order to create persistent impressions about conservatives. Doonesbury, The Daily Show, Colbert, Family Guy, Rolling Stone, and Saturday Night Live regularly mock Republicans in the worst possible way, which has now been ingrained in the national psyche. Flat-out falsehoods about things Sarah Palin or Dan Quayle have said are taken as solid truth by the majority of Americans
Isn’t he the husband of a former Today show host, Jane Pauley? Lost respect for her!
“But mom, where were you when Bill Clinton was raping and molesting everything on 2 legs?”
It would have been funny if the Dad ended up telling her it was false.
And then telling the kid, “OK, you can go there.”
See, I think people have it all wrong. Trudeau is SPOOFING liberals by mocking them with their phony-baloney causes and his boring old punchlines he keeps using decade adter decade.
If Doonesbury was posted as an FR thread - it would have to come with (SATIRE) in the title.
I read Doonesbury back in the early ‘70s. Although I didn’t like its political slant, from time to time it was actually funny. Importantly, some of the characters on both sides of the aisle were likeable.
What the heck happened to Boopsie?! She was a classic ditzy blonde who enjoyed a good time with no real underlying political philosophy. Her default position would be to go along with B.D., who was a “kill a Commie for Mommie” right-winger. I understand they are older, and the intensity would be dialed down, but this Boopsie and B.D. are NOT the same characters Trudeau himself created a long time ago.
On the other hand, he has provided a good term: I like to describe knee-jerk liberal sarcastic baby-boomers as “Doonesbury Democrats”. People ruining the country now.
Thanks, Trudeau, you lying Lefty putz. :)
