So, like, I’m a friendly person, wouldn’t hurt a fly, but when this jerk neighbor of mine said that global warming was a liberal fantasy I tried to reason with him. I told him the Arctic ice was melting, the polar bears were dying and the sea was rising but he kept spouting out stuff about records and trends and totally irrelevant things like water vapor, sunspots and volcanos. I’m well educated and I read the news. I never heard of any of the stuff he was throwing out. What B.S. How can you argue with a fool like that. I said “Whatever!” and left him to swill in his own stupid opinion and I’ve been fuming about it for days, now. I hate him.
Then I saw him talking to another neighbor, who I love, but who isn’t as attentive to current events as I am. As soon as I could I told her what an intolerant jerk he is and then gave her the facts. She thought he was nice and didn’t know how bad he is, so I filled her in. I think I showed her the real truth but I didn’t get to finish before she excused herself due to some appointment she’d almost forgotten about and had to hurry off to. She’s a nice person, but just not too switched on.
So, yesterday afternoon there was a block party and, naturally, the jerk was there. I can’t believe how gullible my neighbors were. They spoke to him. I saw them laughing. They seemed to like him, which was infuriating. Even the neighborhood minorities seemed to enjoy talking to him. I definitely had my work cut out for me.
So I made sure that I got them aside and let them know all about the jerk. I really filled them in on his flag waving, church going, racist, Republican voting ways and especially on his stupid climate denial. And when he had the gall to come up to me and say “hello” I said, “whatever”, and left him standing there like an idiot.
People like that should be thrown in jail. They are too intolerant to be among us. All they do is criticize, deny, and hate.
It is so frustrating to be so enlightened, and for so many around me not to realize it.

Yeah, I bet that guy probably has (dare I say it)... guns in his house.
I think you oughta start keeping an eye on him... You know, slip up and peek at what’s in his mailbox for starters. Before a month passes you’ll probably find one of those NRA magazines, or maybe something from an even bigger bunch of nutjobs called GOA.
Then you can really start spreading the truth about him. It’s for the greater good, you know.
No. I got it. Our son knows someone just like this. I've run across people like this. People like this are real. It makes me wonder how they survive in the real world each day.
Enough said.
The better part is our common sense, realism and the working of nature is winning more converts by the day.

While you’re checking out his mailbox, you could steal - er uh “liberate” - his utility bills so his gas and electric will be cut off. That might balance out his carbon emissions.

You know, I have an idiot neighbor just like that!
He thinks that Obama would sink if he tried to walk on water. How stupid. Something about the laws of physics? We have too many laws!
I think he watches Fox news too.
