She was hot when I was in high school in the 1960s.

Pretty lady, and classy is how I recall her. She had a rough time with Gary Collins her husband being an alcoholic.
I would have expected Mary Tyler Moore to have gone first, this is someone who doesn’t seem to have really smiled in public since around 1988.

I am beginning to feel old.

I remember when she was named Miss America. In fact we were all watching the contest.

I will say she was one of the most attractive ever.

Oh what a looker!

We Boomers owe a great debt to all those young beauties from the 1950’s to the seventies who filled the ever growing number of roles on TV shows.

I saw her at DFW airport in the 1980s. Up close, she had the most wrinkled face I have ever seen. Thank god, I guess, for soft focus/diffusion lenses.

It was very risque for me as a kid, though most I didn’t understand. Still holds up well.

One little oddity I recall her in was in the pilot episode of “The Girl from UNCLE,” with Norman Fell as her co-star. The two of them were really good in their roles, and it aired as an episode of “The Man from UNCLE.” But, they were replaced by Stephanie Powers and Neil Harrison in the resulting series, and it turned out to be a real stinker of a show. I always thought that if the producers stuck with Mobley/Fell and the original concept of pretty girl spy and older spy expert showing her the ropes, it might have actually clicked.

Now THAT’S a piece of trivia! I liked the show, The Girl from Uncle, but I wish I had seen those two together, as it sounds like it was a more winning combination.

Ahh, they don’t make tv shows like those anymore, even when bad they were better than now.
