A 32-year-old man was beaten to death with hammers by at least two teens early Sunday morning on Itaska Street.
The victim was identified as Zemir Begic, 32, of the 4200 block of Miami Street. He had injuries to his head, abdomen, face and mouth. He was taken to St. Louis University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was a Bosnian refugee. The protestors are Bosnian. His family fled genocide and civil war in their home country, and did not expect murder from black street thug animals in St. Louis.

Zemir was a husband, father and brother.
Police say 32-year-old Zemir Begic of Miami suffered injuries to his head, abdomen, face and mouth in the attack. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Authorities say Begic was in his car about 1:15 a.m. Sunday when several young people approached and began damaging it. When Begic got out, he was attacked with at least two hammers.
The two juveniles in custody are ages 15 and 16. A motive for the attack has not been released.
Zemir Begic was a Bosnian in town to visit friends or family. St. Louis has a large and law-abiding Bosnian community."
