Nearly one-third of Native American genes come from west Eurasian people linked to the Middle East and Europe, rather than entirely from East Asians as previously thought, according to a newly sequenced genome.
Based on the arm bone of a 24,000-year-old Siberian youth, the research could uncover new origins for America's indigenous peoples, as well as stir up fresh debate on Native American identities, experts say.
The study authors believe the new study could also help resolve some long-standing puzzles on the peopling of the New World, which include genetic oddities and archaeological inconsistencies

Now, they've found a bone in Siberia -- and suddenly this changes everything? Now native Americans come from the Middle East and Europe? Why should that be surprising? According to most anthropologists, ALL humans started out in the Africa, and moved into the Middle East area, then to Europe and Asia, and beyond.

“No bearing straight bridge needed.”
Island-hopping? Why not? After all, “I can see Russia from my porch.” 8^) The converse is also true. People in “Russia” could see that Alaskan island.
“Hey Mook! Lets go check out that island!” And so on. Maybe no land bridge was required?

Yes. Boats have been around longer than anthropologists know, and not all who used them stayed within sight of shorelines.

Perhaps so. His bones were found in what appears to be the waiting yurt of the tribal healer.

I’ve always looked at this fiasco this way. It’s not who gets there first, it’s who gets there with the most and can hold on to it wins. A survival of the fittest thing. This commie lib, “they were here first” BS is a bunch of crap.

Native Americans: By Native Americans, I assume the researchers include the Aztecs of Mexico, the Mayas of Central America, and the Incas of Peru.
