I look at Jethro and I laugh. I look at Eb and I laugh. What a bunch of characters. Not to mention the genius of some that are missing (like Ralph and Alf and Hank Kimball).
They certainly don’t make them like this anymore.

Great photo! At first I thought that was Marlo Thomas standing next to Frank Cady, (What would she be doing there?) then I realized it was Lori Saunders.

I believe all 3 shows (Peticoat Junction, Green Acres, and The Beverly Hillbillies) were connected.

Thank you!
Saved pic for later printing and hanging when mrs p6 isn’t around.
Another extended family I enjoy is the Wallets. I’d post the picture of the Family Tree but it’s better if people who don’t know look it up.
Hint: Gasoline Alley
Happy Thanksgiving!

From Wiki
Green Acres and Beverly Hillbillies crossover
Petticoat Junction was set in the same fictional universe as the rural television comedy Green Acres, also set in Hooterville. Both shows shared such characters as Sam Drucker, Newt Kiley, and Floyd Smoot. A number of core Green Acres characters, such as Fred and Doris Ziffel (Fred's wife was originally named Ruth)[6]), Arnold the Pig, Newt Kiley, and Ben Miller, first appeared on Petticoat Junction in the 19641965 season, which saw a number of scripts written by Green Acres creator Jay Sommers. Characters on all of Henning's creations sometimes "crossed over" into one another's programs, especially during the first two seasons of Green Acres.
In a 1968 episode ("Granny, the Baby Expert"), Granny from The Beverly Hillbillies comes to Hooterville to tend to Betty Jo and Steve's baby. Prior to her visit to Hooterville, she reminded Jed that he was related to Kate through Pearl. Interesting tidbit: Bea Benaderet played Pearl Bodine in several of the first season episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies. It should also be noted that during Bea's entire duration as Kate Bradley not once was there ever a connection or mention that alluded to The Beverly Hillbillies. Other crossover shows include one where the Clampetts, Milburn Drysdale, and Miss Jane spend both Thanksgiving and Christmas of 1968 in Hooterville on The Beverly Hillbillies and a 1970 episode of The Beverly Hillbillies in which Mr. Drysdale thought that billionaire Howard Hughes lived in Hooterville (the man turned out to be Howard Hewes, who owned Hooterville real estate, including the field Steve Elliot rented to maintain his crop plane.)

Petticoat Junction and Green Acres both took place in greater metropolitan Hooterville. General store owner Sam Drucker regularly was seen in both shows. Occasional Hooterville worthies from
Petticoat Junction were also seen in the pilot episode of
Green Acres, but other than that there wasn't a lot of overlap.
On a trip back home to the Hollers the Beverly Hillbillies' writers created an additional connection -- never previously alluded to -- that the hills from which Jed and all his kin originated were near Hooterville.
Hooterville is located, of course, in "The Kangeroo State."

Nancy Kulp ["Miss" Jane Hathaway] lived about ten miles down the mountain from me. She was an active liberal Democrat and ran against Bud Shuster. Buddy Ebsen did a number of radio spots -- and one TV ad that only ran a few times -- condemning her as 'too liberal.' She was. She lost. Shuster always brought home the bacon and was pretty much invincible.
The other notorious liberal in that photo is Eddie Albert. Guess you can't pick who shows up at Thanksgiving Dinner.

Yeah - I remember that race. Went to PSU w/ Shuster’s kid. Let’s just say it’s a good thing there weren’t smart phones back then, or he’d be in a different line of work.

When Paul Henning was putting together the cast for “The Beverly Hillbillies”, it was his intention to cast Bea Benaderet as Granny. However, when Irene Ryan did her screen test, it was Bea Benaderet herself who went over to Henning and said: “There’s your Granny!” Henning agreed. Feeling a sense of loyalty to Bea Benaderet, he then created the additional character of Pearl Bodine for her, and later gave her the lead in “Petticoat Junction.”
