Europe ready to land 1st probe on streaking comet

BERLIN (AP)  How do you land a spacecraft on a comet that is streaking by at 41,000 mph (66,000 kph)? 
That's a problem scientists have been grappling with for more than a decade as they prepare for one of the most audacious space adventures ever  the European Space Agency's attempt to land a scientific probe on the giant ball of ice and dust known as 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.

    The White House has just released a picture of Barack Obama's reaction to the Philae landing.

    Aerospace coordinator for the German Government giving congrats to the team now.
So far it sounds like they have confirmed touchdown on the comet, though haven’t seen any pictures yet. Perhaps after the rounds of congratulations....

This guy just mentioned that from conception to now has been 25 years. Launch was in 2004. Good for them
