Here's a headline easily bypassed, but it REALLY ticks me off!

Green jobs fading

Oil & Gas Journal:

Obama promised to create 5 million green jobs in 10 years ... [Porkulus/ARRA] ... a $840-billion spending spree that included about $90 billion for energy and, of course, green jobs. Results have not been spectacular. In fact, they testify to core problems of governmental profligacy. The expenditure of public money on green jobs, politically defined, has not lived up to its marketing as an unemployment cure. It has, in fact, failed... [snip, link to be posted promptly]

... personal view, political history 101 ...

And who screamed bloody murder WELL IN ADVANCE that 'green jobs' would fail?

Us, FRiends of the FRee World. EVERY top talk radio host. Every conservative in all 50 states. Just like WMDs in Iraq, FINALLY we are vindicated now that the damage is done.

How did we know? Simple -- we know who to 'listen' to. Every single freaking time, the leftist intellectuals think they know best. And every single time what do we do?

We go to people who know something about each area of expertise. That simple. It reminds me of my own foolishness. When I had a health problem, I'd keep going to different general practitioners and avoid specialists. Big mistake. It TAKES a specialist to really know something about his area of expertise. I could visit a thousand general practitioners and never get my health problems solved.

That's what a leftist-intellectual is -- a 'general practitioner' of general studies and a specialist in some useless study. Not even a roomful of them could screw in an incandescent light bulb because they keep hunting for the squigglies. They know better than us, right? Wrong.

When it comes to energy, we knew we had oil reserves. I for one had watched a news show about shale oil [fracking] wa .... ay back when before there was ever an internet. We also knew that Spain already TRIED the 'green jobs' plan and it was a disaster there too before President Ebola had his crack at it.

Now for another example of history -- leftist intellectuals during WWII. They flubbed it up so badly that I can't for the life of me know why they still have any shred of respectability.

When it came to WWII, our military wanted more counter-intel on the USSR. But FDR told them to [bleep] off. He refused to believe that Algar Hiss was a spy. Then old FDR in his leftist-intellectual wisdom ordered them to shut down the VENONA spy program. Venona gave us excellent counter-intel data regarding Soviet Espionage, but FDR didn't want to offend 'Uncle Joe' Stalin.

[A good thing they secretly kept Venona going behind his back!]

And then it was Truman's turn. He also told our counter-intel to [bleep] off before he assigned Algar Hiss to found the United Nations.

[The UN is a corrupt, thug-hugging parasite. It helps dictators and meddles in the governance of free nations. It also hamstrings free nations during war to the benefit of evil regimes.]

I had the pleasure of being a friend of Henry Wysor Marsh [during his hermit-like retirement in Clarksville, VA]. He was briefly head of Naval Intelligence right after WWII. And I'll never forget one of the few things he shared. His top advisor told him that no secret could be kept [from the USSR] for longer than two weeks. That was their attitude during the Truman Administration.

Marsh wanted me to understand how pointless it was to keep secrets. He just 'shrugged it off'. But what his disclosure really revealed was a hint of how Stalin stole 'atom bomb' secrets. [But to be clear, H.W. Marsh had nothing to do with the loss of atom bomb secrets.]

If only we had the internet back in the 1940s, I believe that men like Henry W. Marsh would have realized that we were on the pivot point, that we could have brought world peace and world prosperity and worldwide freedom if only -- IF ONLY -- we had taken counter-espionage and the communist menace more seriously!

Historians now have greater access to detailed information, and they are putting the pieces together quickly. This is the rarely-told story of the Soviets' struggle to become a nuclear super-power:

Operators of the 'Venona Project' discovered that the Soviets had obtained atom bomb secrets. While Soviet Scientists were at the forefront of the 'atom-splitting' theory in 1940, the oppressive USSR was incapable of doing much about it until after the KGB brought back atom bomb secrets. Every scientific theory was judged politically before it could be published or officially deliberted, and political leaders were too narrow minded -- they squashed many high tech ideas and herded their scientists to other pursuits.

[Just as the Ruling Class does today, only to a lesser extent. As here, Soviet intellectuals are more persuasive and more influential than the actual specialists even though leftist-intellectuals are more harm than good at actual solutions.]

Prior to the secrets, the Soviets assigned only two mathemeticians to 'atom-splitting' theory and 50 floundering scientists. Not a 'shabby' effort, but it most likely would have taken them considerable time to achieve any breakthroughs. The Soviets didn't even bother with uranium. One disadvantage they had was that Jewish mental powerhouses such as Einstein fled to the US for safety.

[Jews could have fled to the USSR, but they prefer a free market system with freedom of speech and religious freedom. The reason they vote 'D' is due to their disproportionate college indoctrination.]

This is how befuddled the Soviets were early-on. Even as late as 1941 Kapista [leading Russian authority on atom-splitting] openly published his thoughts about the construction of an atom bomb. It was only in 1942 did Soviets realize that other nations were censoring atom-splitting information.

Levrenti Beria [the most brilliant member of Stalin's inner circle] had received intel about British efforts on the atom bomb in late 1941 and responded cynically that such a project would be impossible for a long time to come. But a few months later, he started gathering a gold mine of 'atom bomb' secrets mainly bacause the US didn't worry about communist participation in the Manhatten Project. The fact that the Soviets had to put it on the backburner until 1945 only reveals how far behind they were.

Klaus Fuchs and other communists changed world history in a way NO spy ever has before. Fuchs had joined a communist party when he was a student [in pre-war Germany], and the US naively assigned him to be a top researcher in the Manhatten Project. It should not come as a surprise that Fuchs 'Fuchsed' us up. His unfathomable betrayal of the Free World could have been avoided through moderate vetting. He sent all kinds of secrets that sped up the Soviet program, he also spurred them with a 'heads-up' that we were well on our way to make the Bomb. He wasn't the only spy either. Our lousy background check policy [which thought nothing of communist affiliation] is proof that the McCarthyite 'Red-Baiters' were dead-on correct -- we were infiltrated, and it was a serious threat to national security.

When KGB spies were caught 'red' handed, many democrats screamed in their defense just as democrats and the ACLU now speak up for the 'rights' of terrorists.

Even with Stalin poaching the greatest secrets any military ever had, it took Russia a long time, massive manpower, and its most brilliant industrialist to duplicate what we had struggled to achieve. Stalin assigned that task to Beria, the most sadistic and brutal man in Stalin's USSR. [The only reason Beria failed to become dictator later on was because he was so scary that the rest of Stalin's inner circle teamed up against him.]

Beria was an evil genius. He was considered to be the only Russian who could have been an American CEO. In fact, he was too smart to remain a full-blown marxist. After leading his 'atom bomb' project and seeing the 'nuts and bolts' of high-tech industrialism he concluded, "The USSR can never succeed until we have private property."

Only he could get away with such a 'blasphemy' against communism.

To build the 'Bomb' Beria dragooned 300,000 workers. He already enjoyed a 'leg up' -- heavy water and 'massive amounts' of uraniam seiged from the NAZIs by war's end. To speed things along he used a tank division as tractors. He frequently tortured, he threatened the lives of family members [often not idle threats], and he had people shot.

Beria's scientists were so frustrated that they grew beligerant, especially his top scientist, Kapitsa, who went over Beria's head and complained to Stalin personally [one of the few to survive embarrassing Beria that way]. Beria's first thought was to demand that Kapitsa be arrested [which led to torture and often execution]. But in the end Beria valued Kapitsa and "swallowed his pride", and the scientist regularly lectured him as though he were a dim-witted school kid.

No one has a clue how long it would taken the Soviets if we had been more serious about communist infiltration. Soviet Anti-Semitism kept flaring up, and that made it much more difficult. And communist paranoia also strained relations between scientists and party leaders. So God-only-knows what would have happened first -- the collapse of Russian communism or a Soviet nuclear super-power?

On August 29, 1949, Beria nervously predicted that the test would fail minutes before the Russians had 'the Bomb'.

Back in the US, American conservatives instinctively knew that something terrible had happened to allow Russia's quick game of 'catch-up' [perhaps due to subtle hints about Venona intercepts]. But the US was blinded by a democrat smoke-screen.

Being a 'Red Baiter McCarthyite' became a big joke to the news media, Hollweird, and most democrats even though JFK himself had been one of the most determined 'Red Baiters'. 'McCarthyism' was a dirty word used for half a century to make 'fools' out of conservatives.

But it's a reasonable assumption that we might have had been able to enforce world peace and perpetual increases in worldwide freedom effortlessly. We could have easily kept ahead of floundering Soviet technology until the USSR would ultimately collapse.

The only reason why there is no peace today is because of the democrat party.

Instead, FDR had helped the USSR and its communist supporters to pervert the entire world. Socialism is taught in almost every school worldwide today. It pervades EVERY nation's media and every nation's government, even in the US. Who are the socialists here in the US? The democrat party. Always had been and always will be. They've just been good at hiding it until now. It's that simple really. And there are some republicans who 'sell out' to them as well. We even have some republicans who are socialists or enviro-wackos but never admit it publicly. Despite that, the republicans are the best united front we have against socialism.

Then there's the communization of China. That was due to the slanderous 'White Papers' that the US Ruling Class [led by leftist-intellectuals] used to smear Chiang Kai shek back when we could have swatted Chinese communists down like flies. Imagine if freedom had defeated China's communists? The Soviets would have collapsed that much sooner.

Now for a brief review of civil rights. Republicans were the TRUE pioneering champions of Civil Rights ever since the Civil War while the D.isease Party and Bill Clinton gushed over KKK Byrd's grave, that 'esteemed' senator that they heaped praise upon throughout the 90s and beyond.

Summing up: when it comes to government waste, a war against cheap energy, a war against US industry, a war on poverty [which is also a war against scripture], a war against Christianity, a war against strong family bonds, and a war against FREEDOM ITSELF? We can't even imagine a world without the 'Democratic' Party.

Other, quicker-paced points coming up.

Islamic School Teacher Accused of ‘Horrific’ Sexual Abuse Against Teen Girls... (Florida manhunt)

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3222267/posts

The Blaze | Jason Howerton

Police are currently searching for a Muslim man suspected of sexually abusing teen girls while working as a teacher at Nur-Ul-Islam Academy in Cooper City, Florida. The victims, now adults, have filed a civil lawsuit against the school over its alleged response to the reports of sexual abuse.

Sgt. Carlos Corretjer, of the Pembroke Pines Police Department, told the Sun Sentinel that an investigation is ongoing into the disturbing allegations against Tariq Ahmad, 35. So far, officers have been unable to locate him.

Ahmad is accused of forcing two teen girls, who were aged 14 and 15 at the time, into sexual relationships. [snip]

KDKA:

Two “Stop the Violence” organizers allegedly beat one of their colleagues so severely that he vomited blood and was left unconscious in critical condition.

Nikole Ardeno and Emanuel Velez, both 30, accused their former roommate of stealing their property, and allegedly punched and kicked him in the street until he had seizures. Arrested moments later, Ardeno was still wearing the same “Stop the Violence” T-shirt she had on the night before when she coordinated a march protesting two recent shootings, Washington Police Chief Chris Luppino said.

The victim, Joshua Magraff, also is a community organizer with the anti-violence group, and shared an apartment with the suspects until recently. [snip]

Document shows feds fear airborne Ebola

WND | Aaron Klein

In a lengthy document that received nearly no media attention, a U.S. government agency has warned preliminary data shows Ebola is aerostable, meaning it can survive in the air and potentially be transmitted via airborne means. The document was released in a federal government announcement seeking research proposals from private firms ... including for the rapid disinfection of an “aerosol” version of the virus. [unquote]

Jennifer Martinez:

Rep. Steve Pearce (R-N.M.) wants to create a “virtual Congress,” where lawmakers would leverage videoconferencing and other remote work technology to conduct their daily duties in Washington from their home districts. [Away from corrosive DC insider-beltway.]

Under a resolution Pearce introduced on Thursday, lawmakers would be able to hold hearings, debate and vote on legislation virtually from their district offices ... Pearce believes a remote work arrangement may benefit Congress and make lawmakers more accountable to folks in their home districts.

Pearce says the resolution would eradicate the need for members to jet back and forth from their districts to Washington each weekend. This would allow lawmakers to spend more time with their constituents rather than the armies of lobbyists from K St., he argues.

“Thanks to modern technology, members of Congress can debate, vote, and carry out their constitutional duties without having to leave the accountability and personal contact of their congressional districts. Keeping legislators closer to the people we represent would pull back Washington’s curtain and allow constituents to see and feel, first-hand, their government at work,” Pearce told The Hill in a statement ... It’s the FEDERAL legal system that empowers leftist law firms like the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Law Center. State level politicians are eager to legislate innovations like this warning sign idea, which frankly is a feeble stab at a serious problem. How about allowing states to ban child molesters? Let the liberal states take them in. I realise that such a notion would not be functional when you consider how many felons of other crimes would get booted out of all states, but it helps people think, doesn’t it?]

[The great news about this is that republican senators have always honored the ‘gentleman’s agreement’ that you need 60 votes to overcome a filibuster threat. But Reid used the ‘nuclear option’ to ram through Ebola-Care {uh, Obama-Care} by dishonorably ignoring a filibuster threat.]

My Two Cents reg. the Virgin Space Crash:

It was a human tragedy, and I don’t want to diminish it. But there’s a ‘teachable moment’ here as well. Private enterprize DOES take risks. When investors stake vast amounts of money on an investment like this, they dot their [i]s cross their [t]s and CROSS their fingers. The consequence in a truly free market is utter failure, a complete wash-out. So they do their absolute best.

Compare that with government funded projects. Politicians lobby for ‘soft money’ and elaborate deals that enrich them personally. In the past, they lobbied for cold hard cash they they kept in their desk drawers. It makes little difference. Other politicians are blackmailed, such as the 900 FBI files that the Clintons had raided. [Imagine how wide scale the blackmailing was then!]

Look at recent government investments. Obama invested in solar and wind with your money, not his. He invested in stimulus. Do you realize that no investment on the history of the earth is anywhere close to what he spent? Not even the richest man on earth could have invested more. In fact, I’m not sure if all the billionaires on the earth COMBINED could have invested as much. And yet, what do we have to show for it? Debt that is described as ‘astronomical’ because it’s so huge. US debt will be $27 TRIillon in ten years.

How much was the cost of this bold, daring venture that REMAINS feasible? 1/2 of 1,000th of a single trillion. A grain of sand in the USA’s economic sandbox. And if it had succeeded [or rather WHEN it will one day succeed if government doesn’t get in the way], it would be a greater achievement than anything Daddy War-Bucks Obama ever did.

[Qualifier] ... unless someone thinks that harming the Free World is an achievement.

I have never in my increasingly long life felt vulnerable as a Jew in America. I never even dreamed it would happen. But it has now — with the Obama administration. Something is seriously wrong. Jewish Girl Attacked in Sick New ‘Game’...Scene Descends Into Anti-Semitic Hate Fest

The Algemeiner:

A new ‘game’ circulating on social media inspired a group of teenagers to assault a Jewish girl in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and resulted in a display of hatred toward Jews upon the suspect’s arrest, local blog CrownHeights.info reported on Wednesday. The ‘game’ is called ‘What the hell are they?’ The objective is to hit someone on their feet or legs if he or she is wearing nicer shoes than you, shout “what the hell are they” and then run away. The victim, a 13-year-old student of local Chabad girls school Beis Rivkah, was approached by two girls and a boy...

[Note that this is not only anti-semitism, it starts off as a class-warfare game, learning to be violent toward people with nicer property than you have. This is cultlike indoctrination. And once people feel like violence for such a thing is normal, why not be violent toward religions you might mistrust? This is an exact parallel of the NAZIs who were, after all, socialists. Jew-bashing was only ONE part of their redistribution program. Socialism corrodes morality in every aspect, not just one.]

News Blackout on New Ebola Tests Tightens

— My own research:

Back last Friday, it was reported that 100 in New York and over 100 in New Jersey were being monitored for ebola. Guess what? I can’t find hide nor hair of any of them being tested yet. I then asked our FRiends at the Ebola Surveillance Thread, probably the world’s top ebola news page. No one could mention a SINGLE one.

I guess all 200+ of them are in magically perfect health because I can’t find any report that any of them in either state are being tested, right?

Or maybe I missed something. I googled for an hour yesterday, asked around among some of our most active ebola posters, checked the ‘ebola’ search word. Zip zero nadda.

On the scary side, I wonder how many of them report symptoms and are NOT being tested?

How can we know? The news is blacked out....

Poynter | Kristen Hare

On Friday, the Associated Press posted an advisory to editors about suspected cases of Ebola, which they’re hearing of more and more. “The AP has exercised caution in reporting these cases and will continue to do so,” the advisory reads. Here’s the rest: Most of these suspected cases turn out to be negative. Our bureaus monitor them, but we have not been moving stories or imagery simply because a doctor suspects Ebola and routine precautions are taken while the patient is tested. To report such a case, we look for a solid source saying Ebola is suspected and some sense... [SNIP]

Obama’s Border Policy Fueled Epidemic, Evidence Shows [EV-D68 enterovirus]

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3222039/posts

Daily Caller | Neil Munro

The deadly EV-D68 enterovirus epidemic, which struck thousands of kids this fall, was likely propelled through America by President Barack Obama’s decision to allow tens of thousands of Central Americans across the Texas border, according to a growing body of genetic and statistical evidence.

The evidence includes admissions from top health officials that the epidemic included multiple strains of the virus, and that it appeared simultaneously in multiple independent locations. The question can be settled if federal researchers study the genetic fingerprint of the EV-D68 viruses that first hit kids in Colorado, Missouri and Illinois to see if they are... [snip]
