If only lobbyists and subsidy-grubbing corporations could make as much money fighting the eradication of the African elephant, the Asian tiger, or countless other creatures.

In African countries where they allow elephant hunting, the population of elephants is rising. Mostly due to the fact that elephants are no longer seed as crop-eating pests to be eradicated but foreign money generating sources of badly needed income.

Oil rigs are so valuable is supporting sea life that in past, someone proposed giving abandoned rigs “skirts”, intended to catch ocean sediments and plankton, which would precipitate underneath the rig, building a mound large enough for corals to start forming on hard points added later.

Long ago it was learned that artificial ports tend to collect sediments so quickly that they turn into large sand bars. So this uses a similar principle.

I read an interesting take on reality last night.

God has set up ways of doing things in this world that often are counter-intuitive, but are the only ways that things actually work. The other side of this is that when humans try to do things in the ways THEY believe are “better”, like communism/socialism, they are not only evil, but God has intentionally set things in such an order that they are doomed to fail.
