Do you think Wendy Davis's wheelchair ad crossed the line?
(Excerpt) Read more at msnbc.com ...
there is no line that Democrats don’t cross.
You can tell its libs on MSNBC giving Wendy permission to discriminate against the Handicapped.
Hey Dems, you didn’t have a problem with your Icon FDR being in a wheelchair.
Vote stands at 43% for our position, time to freep this and put our position in the majority.
I’m betting that most of the libs would go along with Davis shoving Abbott down a flight of stairs.
Read the comments at the bottom, see if you can avoid hurling. This is why I would prefer to never have contacts with liberals in my day to day activities. All a bunch of sick b@stards.
Why bother. Read the collection of disgusting comments at the bottom. Libs are mentally unbalanced. Sickos.
No. I don’t support her, but her point is not that he is disabled, but that he is a hypocrite.
Liberals care about handicapped people.....unless they happen to be straight, white, conservative Christian males.
The Republicans should run an ad showing the wheelchair and then fade into a photograph of FDR in a wheelchair.
I get the point she is allegedly trying to make (although it’s flawed for other reasons, namely the legal limitations on judicial power) but the way it is depicted in the ad goes beyond just making a point about hypocrisy.
I agree. While I am not following the election in Texas closely, stripping away the Republican/Democrat labels, it seems to me perfectly fair, even if inconvenient, to ask why it is okay to sue and take money, but then try and stop others from doing the same. It is hypocritical and I think should be addressed.
Abbott should find that picture I saw on here a week ago of a bucket full of aborted babies and tie that to Abortion Barbie.
The allegation (or more accurately, insinuation) is really pathetic. But, typical of campaign hit ads. It tries to draw a parallel between his recovery of damages for an accident caused by a property owner’s disregard of a dangerous condition (a tree that fell on him) and his opposition as AG to disability status for someone who lost a leg, but when equipped with a prosthetic, was so nearly as capable as before the loss, that she did not qualify as disabled. That requires some thought process to understand and distinguish, and the ads are pandering to voters who cannot understand or make the distinction.
This was linked at FR a few days ago, and the “yes” vote was 21-22%. Today, it’s 44%.
Good job.
BUT...you know if the yes vote gets up towards 50...msnbc will yank the poll.
The Job that Abbott has is the advocate for the interests of the state of Texas. Just like lawyers defend OJ he defended the interests of Texas.
This doesn’t make him a bad person by doing his job.
Portraying his public obligation to his personal feelings is just pathetic.
Then again these Dems lied that Romney killed a woman, was a Vampire corporate capitalist.
The only thing that is true is that wheelchair bound for most of his life, Abbott is the victim of a smear campaign,
Dems are low life’s
She just keeps digging deeper and deeper
44% now, still need 7% more
AGs aren’t suppose to conduct the states business on what seems fair ...they’re suppose to follow the law!!
And in doing so Abbott gets good grades doing his job well.
Dems are touchy feely morons, Abbott follows the law and kept the Texas taxpayers from paying public suits that were not justified, or payouts that were excessive. If we had torte reform and loser pays we wouldn’t have so many frivolous cases in court.
When Abbot got his settlement was it against Texas or an private entity?
