Tamoxifen cures breast cancer, and it is an extract of the Pacific Northwest Yew tree. Tamoxifen exists in both the bark and berries of the tree.

Might as well find another anti-cancer compound in another tree.

One of my dearest friends who is currently battling stage 4 MET breast cancer has tamoxifen resistant cancer. Every possible form of tamoxifen hasn’t done a thing for her. It is NOT a cure.

Tamoxifen cures breast cancer, and it is an extract of the Pacific Northwest Yew tree.

Which was also a rare tree and for years it was seldom used because of that.

Then someone found that there was a similar compound in a more common variety of yew tree. Then in the 90's one of those E-VIL pharmaceutical company got a hold of it. And synthesized it. With less side effects.

And it became a main stream treatment.

Tamoxifen also presents a potential hazard in creating uterine cancer and can only be used pre-menopausal. I know because my now 10+year cancer free wife had to switch to aristamine (sp?) at one point when they thought she’d gone post-men and had to have 2-3 procedures to confirm no in-utero issues a few years after her treatment.

But it does work. Just gotta stay on your toes. Wonder if they have any noted side effects on this one yet?
