Help! 'Puter Help Needed

Can someone please help out a technology-challenged damsel -- okay, old lady -- in distress?

A few days ago, while posting a comment, I apparently made some errant keystrokes, which resulted in blowing up the fonts on every FR page that I go to. The display is so large that I am required to scroll left to right in order to post this, as I cannot see the entire text box at once!

This problem is only on FR and not on any other website that I visit. I have looked all over the site, and I have sent private messages to FReepers who seem to have tech knowledge, but I have not gotten any answers.

just do what my dad has done twice already... can’t figure out how to fix it? Give it to my sister and go buy a new one. the man wouldn’t ask for help if his very life depended on it.

There is a function where you can use your mouse to make the text bigger to read on a web page. You hold down the Ctrl key and roll the mouse’s roller bar upwards to make it bigger and downwards to make it smaller.

Perhaps that is what you accidentally did.

To put the size back to the default size..... hold down the Ctrl key and hit the zero key.

Try pressing the CTRL key and the ‘minus’ [-] key on the numerical keypad. Do the opposite to increase text size.

I, for one, have always gotten very helpful information whenever I have reached out to "this bunch" for computer help.

(Not that I consider "get a Mac" to be very helpful.)

“CTRL-” makes it smaller; “CTRL+” makes it bigger.

Also, handy little trick I have picked up. If you hold “CTRL” and scroll your mouse wheel, it will zoom in and out in any open window. Scroll up will zoom in and scroll down will zoom out. Works in any program.
