Paul Masson would sell no wine before its time...which apparently didn't stop Orson from having a quart or two before showing up for the original commercial shoot...

Having grown up with those silly PM commercials, this cracks me up every time I watch it. Orson is gassed up pretty good.

I haven’t seen the videos, but I’ve heard the audio portion from a morning radio show. I nearly drove off the road from laughing. Orson was 3 sheets to the wind.

I am sorry, RIMTD. But your link only leads to the Youtube Homepage.
However, I do ask that you view the latter half of this video, it is..... Interesting from 1981.
Just give it a few minutes and you may spit out your drink.

*muahaaa...the frenccccchh* That's hysterical! Practically picking his nose, take three, snap. Then it registers through the haze that he's supposed to speak ... "Muuuaah-haaaaaauuh" like a cow caught in a barbed wire fence, then trailing off into a muttered and slurred "the Frenssshhh" then his eyes slowly aim one by one at the bottle.
The guy holding the bottle trying not to laugh looks familiar, who is that?

Oh, nothing serious in the link. Just him working on a commercial/voice-over.
