A 1968 photo taken during a Lunar Orbiter mission to the moon shows what appears to be a spacecraft that is at least 10 miles (16 km) long resting inside the Crater Manlius. The photo was the subject of a Youtube video that was released on October 4 that shows various close ups and light contrasts of the apparent spacecraft. Most of the object is well illuminated by the sun, but the rest is in the shadows of the crater which is approximately 20 miles (34 km) in diameter, What appears to be a spacecraft cockpit is in shadows. According to an October 5 blog post on UFO Sightings Daily, the object is a UFO that was being secretly studied by NASA, and the real target for upcoming Apollo moon missions. Exopolitics.org The apparent spacecraft was photographed by Lunar Orbiter III (frame 3073) that was sent in 1967 to map the moon for future Apollo missions. Prior to its October 2014 rediscovery, the UFO in the photo was discovered in October 2007 and discussed on an online forum where the consensus was that it was a spacecraft of some kind.

The question is did it belong to Flash Gordon or Ming?

“Some of us find this topic very interesting, so why don’t you lighten up a bit?”
Obviously people can have what ever hobbies or interests they like.
But, some of feel and obligation to point out the nonsense of these things and that it is charlatanism.
And ultimately, I think it is bad for the psyche and spirit to be too interested in such things.
I’d be remiss not to say so.

“exactly.... always amuses me that folks take a photo of unknown authenticity (i.e. how many generations from the original is it?) and then manipulate the heck out of it and claim they see all sorts of things in it”
It’s a cottage industry of sorts.

Obvously 2001 A Space Odyssey underestimated the size.
But the tv show V got closer to the mark.

It’s just a leftover prop from the old Japanese sifi kid movies.
if ya examine the outline of the crater edge , it looks like a good fit for the object if ya flip it upside down and slap it against the wall at the left end far side.

Problem I have is this is not a UFO.
It is definitely not flying.

Liberals have a lower IQ...believe me! I'd find ANY story about little green men on the moon more interesting than ANYTHING this dumb cluck would say!

I think it is bad for the psyche and spirit to be too interested in such things.
My level of interest has not morphed into fascination, and that photo is likely not a space ship. But I will not close my mind to the possibilities of intelligent extraterrestrial life - that would be painfully obtuse.

. . . because he or she thinks that falling in line with the "smart" people makes him or her smart too.
My guess is that "Utilizer" has never seriously studied the question and just kind of throws up blather that falls in line with the "accepted" answers provided by Big Media and the "Government" - saves a lot of work. . . .
Utilizer prefers to play the odds of 100 billion planets in the known universe but a single one has given birth to intelligent lifeforms such as Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, George Bush and Karl Rove.

Seriously? We're supposed to have faith in that graphic, when it lists the smallest vessel as an "Enterprise Class Cruiser"???? Everyone knows the Enterprise was a Constitution Class Cruiser - there's a reason Kirk wasn't running NCC-1700

All I want to know is if these aliens can give me a ride.
I need to get off this planet.
