Is it worth the time and effort?
I have a Thinkpad 4GB .. my Windows rating is 4.8 which is kind of crappy but this is my “fun” computer.

Is this the one with "Asimov" realtime tracking?
Never fear though, the data is fractured and muddled and obscured and it can't possibly be used to actually track what you use your computer for. Really.
Really.

Trying Windows 10 Tech Preview? Keep these 7 things in mind

6. Itll put a crimp in your entertainment options
Installing the Windows 10 Technical Preview disables the PCs ability to play DVDs using Windows Media Player, and it removes Windows Media Center from PCs running Windows 8 Pro with Media Center. Its not clear why this is. Maybe Microsoft wants you focused on the testing, and not spending time watching movies or listening to music.

Having the live tiles and apps in the start menu is great, especially since you can now use the apps in a window.
++++
Could you elaborate on that just a bit. “Live tiles and apps in the Start Menu”?

The large tiles and start screen have been made smaller and integrated into the desktop start menu. It will work on a wider range of devices. Those are the major changes I’ve seen. Microsoft received a lot of criticism for the changes made in Windows 8 and they are responding to this criticism by making Windows 10 much more like Windows 7.
