This confirms what I’ve speculated about George Lucas. He’s a mediocre screenwriter, and an okay director. But he’s a damn good editor and a hell of a cinematographer. Even if the story is weak in Lucas’ movies the visuals and pacing are usually stunning. JMO

No doubt one of spielbergs best. However I would like to say how much the score plays a part. This would work as a silent movie. He also does his own storyboards, crude sketches but it works.
