I really don’t care much for Historically Informed Performance, but it is sad to hear of Hogwood’s passing. In addition to his Academy of Ancient Music recordings, I used to see his name as harpsichordist on some of the old Marriner/Academy recordings.

RIP. Great recordings are a legacy, especially the Bach stuff with Academy of Ancient Music...

For years, I thought the name of the group was The Academy of Ancient Music Christopher Hogwood Conducting.

I had a decent collection of his interpretations of Baroque music on LPs’s, which then I updated and added to as CDs became available. I am happy that he existed.

I have a bunch of Academy of Ancient Music CDs. Always liked the Baroque period of music.

73 is pretty young these days. 75 is the new 60.
