Asia Canada is actually a good old southern Appalachian style name, believe it or not. Canada, Cannady, ultimately Kennedy but completely different from the more infamous bunch, obviously. Using states or countries for women’s names is another old custom. I’ve had great aunts named India, Georgia and Indiana.
Good on her, good on Oneida and east Tennessee. Even cheerleaders and fans from opposing teams are joining in.

That school is the people’s school. It’s good to see the kids remembering this fact and enforcing their rights.
