This is what it looks like after you get hit in the face with a 90 mph fastball:
"The Aftermath...Making huge progress!! Want to thank everyone who has played a part in my recovery">
I’m pulling for this kid. One of the bright young stars of the game. Hits the most awesome, jaw-dropp. . . well, let me rephrase that. . . the most awesome, eye-popping home runs in baseball.
That was one awful video to watch. I wish this guy well, he has an admirable attitude.
How did that player fare? (Sorry, I don’t follow sports.)
He was never the same. Couldn’t hang in the batters box.
Tragic, indeed. Thanks for the info.
A truly great young talent. Hopefully he comes back 100%. Marlins will be a lot better next year.
This is the reason no one breaks out the swishy celebration moves after routine plays. No reason to give anyone a reason to want to stick you or your star player. It’s bad enough when happens it by accident.

I go to about 10 games a year and obviously enjoy watching him play. He's a very large man. One night he hit a ball that never got above head high and hit the wall on one bounce. It seemed to defy physics.
I hope he'll bounce back. It's ironic that the Fish were floating rumors of signing him to a franchise contract last week. I think they'll have him for 2 more years and then he'll go back to CA where he wants to be.
The other day here in St. Louis I saw Matt Holliday hit a screaming rocket into the upper deck, 110 mph off the bat, and over 460 feet in distance. The only other guy I see who can do that, and regularly, is Stanton.
