I’m sure they will. She said they’re required to study Korean culture and will be quizzed on their plans to incorporate their son’s heritage into their family. She’s looking on it as an interesting learning experience.

One would expect South Korea’s legal system to be a bit more organized than that of, say, Guatemala, at least. She said one reason they chose South Korea is that orphans are generally placed in foster homes, rather than institutions, and so tend to be healthier than children in some other countries.

She didn’t mention learning Korean cooking, but maybe she’ll give it a try. I’m sure we’ll learn more as the process, er, proceeds. She said it could be up to 10 months before they can bring him here.

My second grandson married a Korean girl. She was adopted by missionaries as a baby, and they still follow the traditions and cook the food. I think it’s interesting but they will never come to visit.

They don’t call, and won’t even “friend” me on Facebook. I guess they only need each other and the baby.

But such a CUTE baby!

I managed to sneak in a 30 minute nap, but I don’t feel much better for it. I want to go lie down, but I will have to get up to fix something to eat. Maybe if I wait another hour, I can do it, and then just have some yogurt with my evening pills.

Tomorrow is “weigh day,” and I don’t know what to expect, although I’m a tad curious.

Is there any news on the Silver Bullet?

Yes, the mechanic called to get some information that’s needed for the inspection, like our address. He said it will be done tomorrow. We can go pick it up after lunch.

I am so hoping that it passes the inspection! It would be fun for you to have it legal, without relying on your uncle!

This morning I made some sugar-free Jell-O and I’m using that to fill in for some fruit, since I’m running out. I think I have two kiwis left and I want them for tomorrow.

Anyway, I had forgotten how tasteless sugar-free anything is. Even the lite Cool Whip couldn’t gussy it up enough to make it palatable! But I’ll survive! I may not have the variety Busdaddy says, or his resources, but I’ll make this work, some how.

The mechanic is friends with the inspection guy, so I’m pretty sure it will pass. Then I need to find out about transferring the title and getting it licensed. I hope I don’t have to go to the License Plate Office and wait in line for a day!

Check online. They may have kiosks at the DMV to help the lines go faster.

First time registration for a vehicle is a pain in the backside, but you should be able to do it online next time.
