A Christian couple fined $13,000 for refusing to host a lesbian wedding on their New York farm has decided to close the venue rather than violate their religious beliefs.
Cynthia and Robert Gifford decided not to host ceremonies anymore, other than those already scheduled, Alliance Defending Freedom attorney James Trainor told The Blaze. ”Since the order essentially compelled them to do all ceremonies or none at all, they have chosen the latter in order to stay true to their religious convictions, even though it will likely hurt their business in the short run,” he said

Along with the right to peaceably assemble, comes the right to choose to NOT assemble. That's what is at issue here. People, on their own private property, are choosing to NOT assemble, and the people they choose to NOT assemble with do not like it.

It just takes a little creativity to get around such oppression. For example, offer “at will lease agreements” that last several years to respectable churches, of those parts of their farm used for weddings.
This way, couples who wished to get married under the authority of any of those churches could schedule their wedding on the leased area as a church, not secular event.
For the scheduled hours, that land would not be part of the farm, but leased ownership of that church.
Of course, the angry people would demand membership in the lease agreement, but that could be refused until the lease is up for renegotiation, several years out.

Well many moons ago when one George W Bush was proposing Faith Based Programs and incorporating government funding into it many warned this was a foot in the door for government takeover of churches. People thought well George W Bush won't do this but the long term blind could not see or blatantly refused to see that even Da Bushes were setting us up on purpose for what we see happening in government today.
