If you're partial to black and white "tuxedo" cats, an animal shelter in Novato, Calif., would like to talk. It seems someone has dropped off more than 100 of the cats over the last 18 months. The last dropoff occurred Monday, when a car pulled up to the Marin Humane Society and left behind three boxes with 24 cats. It was the fourth such occurrence in the last 18 months. The San Francisco Chronicle reports that all the cats, which range in age from kitten to full-grown, appeared to be in good health, with no fleas or diseases. The unidentified person leaving the cats has been caught on surveillance tapeand the shelter wants to get in touch to explain how spaying and neutering works.

Shelters take money to run-there is no shelter fairy-the ones out here are funded by donations, not tax money, and we all support them. I’ll give them money before I give it to some political beggar...
Tuxedo cats (or TCs) are significantly more intelligent than regular cats (including all other breeds and varieties).
Research indicates that this difference may be as great as 200%.
Other cats living in the same households as TCs benefit from this and may see temporary increases in intelligence of 5-10%.

What a jerk. 100 tuxedo kittehs need good homes, deserve them, and hopefully, with the help of ceiling cat, will get them. I’m mailing this to some friends in NoCal who are good cat people.

Thank you. He’s my pride and joy.
That cat looks a little like Henri, the Existential Cat. If you’ve never seen one of his videos, you might enjoy the couple of minutes it takes to watch it:

He is a pretty, pretty baby-the contractor I work for has a tuxedo-he showed up on my deck as a bedraggled kitten, not really old enough to be on his own. I was fostering him for the shelter, which I sometimes do when they are full, but my compadre saw him at the house when he was helping me load up tools one weekend, and took him right home-he is neutered now, almost a year old and a darling...
Thanks; all my cats are former strays too.
My FRiend and I were just discussing Henri the other night as a matter of fact. I didn’t know he had so many new vids out! Loved the Halloween one. :)
The Halloween Henri video is definitely one of the best.
And now he has brought home a buddy to hang out with. Far as we can tell, he somehow communicated to his pal that there were humans here that would feed him and were not threat. It was very cool the first time he brought him home to dinner.
A very bright cat.
On behalf of my fur-baby Oreo the tuxedo moggie I offer a prayer to ceiling cat that all these babies find a forever home. You should see her, she’s like 22 pounds and the most mellow cat you’d ever wanna meet. Some mornings she’s so relaxed I check her to see if she’s breathing!

Was there a dress code?
Indeed. I had hoped my formal gown cat wouldn’t be overdressed.
Cat people have the word “SUCKER” written on their foreheads in ink that only cats can see. (My three cats vigorously deny this allegation.)
I’ve never bought a cat-shelter cats are the best, most wonderful pets-and all of mine have been dog friendly-a bonus for me and my Husky who loves cats. My kitties live to 17 and over-usually around 20, kept indoors.
I’ve had a couple given to me by friends who had a cat with a litter of kittens, and there is the summer people’s tabby I plan to abduct when I move-but all the others have been shelter cats. Of the three I have now, one was a baby mostly-Persian kitten lost in an RV park, the Maine Coon was given to the shelter by a mentally ill woman who was checking into a psych facility-he was 3-4 years old, and the midget brindle tabby was found in the woods. She was born feral, but for some reason loves humans-2 years since I’ve had her for nearly 2 years and she is like velcro..
And I got two! :) =^..^=
Oops-keyboard hiccup!
Here it is for those who may have not seen. I love his contempt for the "white imbecile".

My tuxedo cat just left another dead rat offering on the doorstep this morning. He doesn’t eat them. He just kills them.
Good kitty!
