According to a neighbor, She thought they were playing back and forth like this, then all of a sudden she saw her on the ground and kept saying Polo, Polo, because that was the dogs name, and she was rolling over" And according to a neighbor: "It looked like it (the dog) took a chunk of her throat out around the jugular...
But since this is the dogs first killing, it doesn't seem conclusive to the daughter, she'd like to understand the situation better. Pray for the child involved, and any other humans in contact with the beast.
Remove the child from her and let the idiot keep the killer dog.
The article keeps saying Monday’s Dog Attack. So if this just happened yesterday, the daughter might still be in a state of shock. Let’s hope she comes to her senses for the 2y/o’s sake. The Humane Society should’nt even be having this discussion with her if all just happened yesterday. Feeling are still raw.
While most Pitts don’t attack...most attacks are by Pitts.
Is there any other domestic creature with a track record of causing such human mayhem?
Big snakes? Horses? It sure seems like the PB in the neighborhood is a clear + present danger.
Remove the child from her and let the idiot keep the killer dog
Agreeed, the wisdom of Solomon
The question should be whether the victim’s family want just the killer dog killed or the owner as well.
In my neighborhood, that dog would be history. If she didn’t put it down, we would.
Get rid of the owner and the killer dog.
Let her take it with her to her new maximum security Prison cell. Convict her of Murder.
Good God Almighty-this dog rips her mother’s throat out in front of her 2 yo son and she hasn’t decided if she is going to euthanize it or not!!!?? Is there any fn hope for this country?
If that is the case I concur ... Despise those who fail to provide a cushion to people in these situations
Studies have shown that Pitt Bulls and their owners have roughly the same IQ.
Agree, there’s no cure for stupid but that’s a start.
OMG! She can’t decide what to do with the dog. I am stunned!
I don’t see how that can be left up to the owner. Once a dog kills a person, or even severely attacks them, the dog has to be put down.
OK, because IT’S A DOG. Or a monkey, or whatever. Pet’s who kill need to be eliminated.
I’ve been so repulsed and shocked by the indecision that I forgot to consider what it’s going to be like for the neighborhood if this woman decides to keep her dog.
I think this gory death is traumatic for members of the neighborhood and very hard on all the responders who have to deal with this. If not for the normal considerations of one’s own family, then couldn’t this women get rid of the dog for the sake of everyone in the neighborhood?
I keep coming back to my reaction though, at Christmas, their dog is in the Christmas photo but Mom isn’t? I couldn’t look at an animal that killed my Mom, let alone feed it and play with it etc.
I was hung up on the thought that the city didn’t force her to have the dog put down. The neighborhood could probably force that decision if the city doesn’t. The dog would soon be dead if it was in my neighborhood.
