So this woman's pit bull kills her 59 year old mother in front of her own 2 year old son and she's indecisive about whether to have it put down.

According to a neighbor, “She thought they were playing back and forth like this, then all of a sudden she saw her on the ground and kept saying Polo, Polo, because that was the dog’s name, and she was rolling over" And according to a neighbor: "“It looked like it (the dog) took a chunk of her throat out around the jugular...”

But since this is the dogs first killing, it doesn't seem conclusive to the daughter, she'd like to understand the situation better. Pray for the child involved, and any other humans in contact with the beast.

Remove the child from her and let the idiot keep the killer dog.

The article keeps saying Monday’s Dog Attack. So if this just happened yesterday, the daughter might still be in a state of shock. Let’s hope she comes to her senses for the 2y/o’s sake. The Humane Society should’nt even be having this discussion with her if all just happened yesterday. Feeling are still raw.

While most Pitts don’t attack...most attacks are by Pitts.

The question should be whether the victim’s family want just the killer dog killed or the owner as well.

In my neighborhood, that dog would be history. If she didn’t put it down, we would.

Studies have shown that Pitt Bulls and their owners have roughly the same IQ.

I don’t see how that can be left up to the owner. Once a dog kills a person, or even severely attacks them, the dog has to be put down.

OK, because IT’S A DOG. Or a monkey, or whatever. Pet’s who kill need to be eliminated.

What is one human life compared to the hours and hours of pleasure this pet gives its owner? Besides, think economics for a moment, Now that Polo is a proven killer-dog, his value in the 'hood just shot way up.

Personally, Pit Bull lover that I am, I would insist that Polo be given a fighting chance. Lock the woman and the dog in a cell. Serve neither any food. After a week, release the survivor. My money is on Polo.

Then of course, I'd shoot the 4-legged SOB, and every one in the kennel that bred him.

So the laws of Ohio make it the Mecca for pit bull owners.
