B - we still dont know what happened. Indeed, if it turns out she initiated the violence, will she be suspended from her job without pay for two weeks? Will others on this thread be as quick to refer to her as a thug?

I cannot think of any reasonable scenario where it is acceptable to hit a woman.

They say we evolved from hair dragging wife clubbing cavemen.
I'm pretty sure they have it bassackwards as usual. The laws of entropy pretty much have a slam dunk on the evolution belief system.

It’s better than. It’s the only sport, of the big 5, where it is acceptable for two men to settle things with fistacuffs.

I live near Baltimore and work in the city. I refuse to bow to the altar of the Raven. When my office has a football season opening lunch, they say to wear your favorite team colors. I wear a NASCAR shirt.
I was given tickets to a ravens game. My son and I were about the only ones not in purple. It felt good.

Oh I can. They fall under the category of self defense. Meanwhile though we don’t actually KNOW that Rice hit anybody, we’re pretty sure he probably did, but we don’t KNOW. On the short list of things we do know is that the fiance is now the wife and the DA thinks his record should be expunged, and he’s still suspended for 1/8 with further fines eating up another good chunk of his salary. Which is a lot of punishment for doing nobody is quite sure what exactly.

Really? Given how many women kill their children, would shooting them be OK? /half-joking

I cannot think of any reasonable scenario where it is acceptable to hit a woman. How about in self defense against something like this?

Pittsburgh as well. The only Commie Red County in the entire southwest corner of our fair Commonwealth is Allegheny, home to Pittsburgh.
The light red (barely Commie) county in the center is Centre, home to Penn State.

Steelers fans have always known that the Baltimore Ravens represent a shameful culture from a shameful city Yeah, Balto is a hell hole, but I think you're forgetting a few of your own infamous players - Roethlisberger, Holmes, Harrison, Burress, Davenport, Seigler, and so on. It's an American cultural problem which certainly isn't limited to one city. Steeler fans come to Balto and behave in abhorrent fashion. I've seen it far too often. Yeah, Baltimore and their fans have a lot of problems, and I get it that Steeler fans hate the Ravens, but you're throwing stones from a glass house.

If he were white he’d been booed off the field. But, as usual there is a different standard for blacks. Think ‘OJ in the White Bronco’.

Exactly. SHE had been previously arrested for domestic assault. My guess is that she started it and he finished it.

The ghetto culture taking over most sports is why I can no longer stand to watch them. I’m down to golf.

Me too - and I've never been able to watch a golf tourny if Tiger's playing. Can't stand him, or the over-the-top coverage he doesn't deserve.

Used to enjoy football. But that was before the players were all gangstas, the fans were all trash, and the sports media were all faggots.
