RADNOR, Pa. (CBS) A worker at a McDonalds on the Main Line was serving up more than a happy meal, police say.
Investigators say what he is accused of doing in the parking lot was illegal and now he is facing serious charges.
According to investigators, the worker, identified by Radnor Police as 29-year-old Allen Trammell, at the Lancaster Avenue McDonalds in Strafford was selling crack cocaine in the parking lot of the restaurant while he was on the job.
Investigators say Trammell was a street level dealer who through word of mouth may have been making upwards of $1,500 a week selling dime bags of crack cocaine in the parking lot.
Police say they made four undercover buys before taking Trammell into custody on numerous drug charges.
When he was arrested, police say he had 57 bags of crack cocaine in his possession.
Radnor Police Lieutenant Andy Block says Trammell has been employed at the fast food restaurant for about two years.
When not working as a crew and preparing food, he was out in the rear parking lot selling crack cocaine. So in a sense, it can give you a new definition of what may be considered a happy meal, Block said.
During a news conference Wednesday, Blocks said there is concern that the worker was working in food preparation while handling the drugs.
Block says theres no indication drugs were sold either over the counter or through the drive-thru window.
Police believe Trammell may have seen selling for six months to a year.
Trammell, of Philadelphia, was unable to post his $100,000 bail.
I guess the business was a little slow, of late.................
If the minimum wage was $15, he’d never have descended into this life of crime.
Would you like the ‘special’ fries with that?......................
Isn’t it horrible that a McDonalds worker is selling that poison to people at work? That stuff absolutely destroys a person’s body.
Its also pretty bad that he was selling drugs too . . . .
If Obama had a son he’d look like Allen Trammell.
LOL!!!!
“One 1/4 pounder and one 1/2 ounce, please.”
Circumstantial evidence, officer. I...uh...found it in the restroom. Yeah, that's the ticket.
“No Pepsi- Coke!”
“Yes...I’d like to Biggie Size that blunt, please.”
“You wanna get fried with that?”
LOL!................
If Obama had a son hed look like Frank Marshall Davis..................
“Investigators say Trammell was a street level dealer”
“Dealer”?
What happened to the word ‘pusher’. When and why did that word become obsolete when referring to drugs and those who sell them?
There was even a song by ‘Steppenwolf’ with the lyrics, ‘God **** the pusher’, God **** the pusher man’.
I remember that song well............................
Hey, it could happen.
One story I saw about this claimed one of the workers (who was fired over it) said it had fell out of an apron pocket, or something like that.
There’s always been a line between dealers and pushers, Steppenwolf even discusses it in the song (”well the dealer for a nickle out to sell you lots of sweet dream”). Generally the line is how addictive the stuff they sell is, and how much they’re selling a product vs trying to get you addicted.
Oh, my! What an unfortunate confluence of names!
LOL Tigers are playing the D-Backs this afternoon.
police are still on the lookout for his partner, Lew Wittaker
