Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

Yes, Moosie, it's easy to have kids when you're 10 years old!
LOL,
Morning ‘Face. :)
Hey, Moosie! How are things with you? It was 32C degrees here, yesterday!
It should be about the same today.
And I should be working. There is SO much to do, and taking a week off was not smart. I’m sorry I did it! LOL!
Things are reasonable,thanks ‘Face.
30 degrees yesterday ,29 today.
Off up into the hills in a minute to try and shake this ‘”Jet lag”.
A week off sounds real nice, to be honest.
SYL :)
I came back to the mess I left, in trying to get my things arranged. discarded or donated, and on top of it all, I’m missing a CD-ROM that’s needed for a program. All in all, today may be quite interesting from a logistics standpoint.
We’ll see.
Right now, it’s 76F and that feels almost cold!
Thank you. I feel a day older than I did yesterday.
Wellnow! So do I!
I’ve been busy but it seems right now that I’ve made a bigger mess than I’ve cleaned up. However, I’m going to move the small bookcase and that will make a hugh difference in what I can accomplish, next.
I think I will walk up to the office and see if maintenance is there so they can replace this fire extinguisher.

Not today...
*sigh*
It’s OK. Everything moves in slow motion around me, anyway.
I need to go fill some ice cube trays. (How quaint: ice cube trays)
Help, we’ve fallen into a time warp!
Except we don’t have beehive hair-dos and cat’s eye glasses...;o]
True. And a good thing, too.
Just as I was about to finish up a reply to your post, my computer shut down. I’m not a happy camper today. In fact, I’m about a gnat’s eyebrow away from saying “bunk it,” and heading for bed.
If I hadn’t had to buy the expensive meds, yesterday, I would have had enough for the labor on the fuel pump installation. Now I regret getting the med, but they can’t take it back, and can’t refund me. *simmer* So I’ll wrack my brain and try to come up with a solution so I can get my truck on the road again.
The small book case is now under the window, and I just need to figure out what to do with the mirror behind the door before I can bring in and assemble the big bookcase. The crates of books are awaiting my actions.
Tomorrow, I will work on getting the coat closet organized so I can get the Christmas decorations stored. I don’t like leaving them on the patio.
I’m overwhelmed by your industry! Kathleen wouldn’t stop screaming about things she wasn’t allowed to have, so I put her to bed.
I suspect my industry won’t last long, but my intentions are well aimed.
I can only live amid the clutter for so long before I start to babble and drool. I’m reaching that point quickly.
If the water would only hurry and freeze into cubes, I could work happily!
A little tip i was given by my Dearly departed Nan, with regards to fast manufacture of ice cubes:
“Warm the water to lukewarm first ,then put in trays and freeze.”
‘Something to do with thermodynamics’.....”let’s all have a nice cup of Tea.”
The mother of my life-long friend (we met when we were five years old) always put the ice cube trays in the freezer with warm water in them. Didn’t know thermodynamics, but she was a clever ol’ farm girl and was very seldom wrong in her philosophies.
The immature, the insane, the just plain lost..
They seek me out.
I noted that. Most attempts to 'translate' a song do exactly that and the lyrics then don't fit the music. I can more or less read Spanish (as opposed to understanding spoken Spanish - when my brain has to process the audio, by the time it goes 'Oh, I know that word' and fills in the blanks the rest of the audio stream has long passed by) and I noted the 'equivalence' - sort of - and could read it well enough to appreciate the wording.
It would be interesting to hear it sung in Spanish.
Well, I can fix that for you.. ;-)
But... I didn't find a chord chart/leadsheet with the Spanish lyrics... ;-)
