Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

Is this it?

Only things on there now are one that says 'Army Dad' and one that says 'Creation Festival'... ;-)
I like the Kokopelli figure for the “D”.
Hey, guy. You busy?
Never. Ted Kennedy got away with it, and so will Whorehouse Harry.
LOL! Gold star, Bob!
That finger is headed straight for the nose. Mmmmmm!
Yep. Thanks for trying though. :-)
Gives me the heebie-jibbies...
He has arrogated an enormous amount of power to his office of majority leader. It is indeed off-putting to consider.
The duded is genuinely scary.
Harry Reid is one of the most evil men that is walking the earth today. He is greedy and lies easier than he tells the truth and his son is almost as evil as he is.
Never underestimate his greed. His wealth is gotten by evil means and I’m waiting for the day when the inner evil eats him from the inside out...it’s coming.
Good kitteh!
If I were home, I would save that Contradict pic...maybe you could freepmail it to me? Please?
Morning! Off to the gym with Pat, James, and Kathleen, while Bill handles the VBS dropoff of Vlad, Frank, and the Montoya girl.
I’m trying to wake up enough to get to work on the bedroom carpet, but I’ve got the SLOWs again. I did nothing yesterday, then slept eleven hours. I didn’t realize how stressed I’ve been. It will get better, for sure.
The idea of walking to 7-11 was just too much for my pore brane this morning, so I’m having some iced tea instead of iced coffee. :o]
I suggest you do nothing today, too.
I’ve been to the gym with some kids, by Asuncion’s with some music pages, mopped the floor where Kathleen spilled a cup of milk, and now I’m going to the shower.
I will now do nothing for the duration. I actually shampooed the bedroom carpet, using an entire bottle of Awesome all-purpose cleaner. Now, all I have to do is give it time to dry.
That burst of activity made me very thirsty, so I got up the gumption to go to 7-11 in the TOWDOG and get some brewski. I could have gone a block farther to the neighborhood Cardenas market, but the store is situated in such a way that I would have had to park a block away to make sure I could park and unpark without damage to the truck or other vehicles.
Walgreen’s is right next to 7-11 so I went in and got two small iced coffees for $3. And of course, as is usual in that neighborhood, I got pestered by panhandlers. I tell them all I will buy them something to eat, but I won’t give them money. Sometimes, I tell them I don’t carry cash, but I never EVER give money. I had a bad experience with that once, and I’m not going to repeat it.
Before I did the carpet, I actually got my nails done. Since using gel products, my stubby little nails are actually growing and seem to be much stronger than they have been. The kit wasn’t as expensive as some I’ve seen, and I think I’ve talked my sister into using the same kind of stuff, too. ;o]
Busdaddy has been having fun with his son and family and says he talked to his ex-wife and she is now cancer free! That is such good news!
I guess he and his son and two kids are taking the quad out into the foothills today to do some playing. It’s his birthday, so I figured he is entitled to have all the fun he wants!
Tomorrow, maybe I will wash the bedding and what few clothes I have. And I think today, I may do some coloring. I brought a crochet project (cotton hat) but it is almost finished. I just need the brim wire I left at home in order finish it completely, so coloring sounds like a good idea!
Yep.
Kinda makes we wish we could help Karma out a little bit...
