I will now do nothing for the duration. I actually shampooed the bedroom carpet, using an entire bottle of Awesome all-purpose cleaner. Now, all I have to do is give it time to dry.
That burst of activity made me very thirsty, so I got up the gumption to go to 7-11 in the TOWDOG and get some brewski. I could have gone a block farther to the neighborhood Cardenas market, but the store is situated in such a way that I would have had to park a block away to make sure I could park and unpark without damage to the truck or other vehicles.
Walgreen’s is right next to 7-11 so I went in and got two small iced coffees for $3. And of course, as is usual in that neighborhood, I got pestered by panhandlers. I tell them all I will buy them something to eat, but I won’t give them money. Sometimes, I tell them I don’t carry cash, but I never EVER give money. I had a bad experience with that once, and I’m not going to repeat it.
Before I did the carpet, I actually got my nails done. Since using gel products, my stubby little nails are actually growing and seem to be much stronger than they have been. The kit wasn’t as expensive as some I’ve seen, and I think I’ve talked my sister into using the same kind of stuff, too. ;o]
Busdaddy has been having fun with his son and family and says he talked to his ex-wife and she is now cancer free! That is such good news!
I guess he and his son and two kids are taking the quad out into the foothills today to do some playing. It’s his birthday, so I figured he is entitled to have all the fun he wants!
Tomorrow, maybe I will wash the bedding and what few clothes I have. And I think today, I may do some coloring. I brought a crochet project (cotton hat) but it is almost finished. I just need the brim wire I left at home in order finish it completely, so coloring sounds like a good idea!
Quite a burst of activity!
We’re back from the closing festivities of VBS, and I will give whatever children are here some lunch. Then we can take naps.
Inert mowed the back yard.
