Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

I remember 1981!
Yep, Year3 of the 11 year nightmare.
You can't make serial logic work in a parallel world.

Oh, sure. That will work.
But I’m looking for a way to get messages from the imaginary world to the real world.
Got anything for that in your bag of tricks, Felix?

That is all well and good for the translation of the data concerned for I/O purposes.
The problem arises when they ask for the ‘working’ of the problem and expect it to be in serial not parallel.
The output is converted back into serial easily enough, but having to create serial data that didn't exist in your thought processing is just a total pain in the ....
I think you get my drift. :)

You have parallel logics in a creal world.
The more sugar the better.
The more yard clippings the better.
Captain crunch vs mucouslege.
Or something like that.

a way to get messages from the imaginary world to the real world. For that you need to have a unit that contains one of those elusive processors that combine the properties of the serial to parallel converter with the i numeric floating point processor that processes every third instruction by concatenation of sums followed by multiplication by -1-2 encased in an androidal ambulatory package and presented to the public under the generic phrase "fiction writer"...
... they're kinda strange folk..

Right. I understand that. But a simple rotation will not avail me anything. I'm talking about going from thought to physicality in the fewest number of steps. Something like a Krell instrumentality, but without the negative consequences.
Well, don't worry about it. I'll get it worked out. And trust me, it will be plausible.

I’m back. Not excited about today. Ordinary Mary is coming soon and as soon as she leaves I have to head for the doctor’s office. I don’t want to because the doctor I’m seeing keeps ordering tests for me to take and I’m not going to do any of them.
He keeps ordering a mammogram, and I keeping telling him I want no more radiation unless it’s an emergency. He’s not listening to me.
So I’m stressed going in...I hope he doesn’t hold me hostage for the things I need.

This could have been a Monday. Ordinary Mary didn’t show up. I called at 0730 but could only leave a message. About 30 minutes later, she called me. She had a heart attack last week.
Then the doctor’s office called...rescheduled me for September 4th. *sigh*
The humidity is way up, and I feel lethargic...
So tell me something enegertic so I can cheer up!

OK, UTers. I need to pick your brains over this gun thing.
It seems Busdaddy’s son cannot find an LLF firearms dealer in CO who is willing to send the handgun to another LLF firearms dealer in NV. He seems to think there is a reason for it, but he has no idea what that reason could be.
Does anyone know of any “events” or “non-events” that are supposed to take place in the near future? Since the break-in at his dad’s place, he is anxious to provide the dad with protection.
It’s baffling. Any input is welcome! Thanks!

Try working it from the Nevada end. Find a gun shop (FFL) willing to receive, they will likely have contacts in CO they’ve done business with and feel comfortable with.
