Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

She is at Pamlico Seabase, near Washington, North Carolina, along with DP, Bill, Tom, Sally, and about ten other Scouts from around here.

The consensus of Small Boys is that it was fun.
It was tiring for me because I had to restrain Kathleen while encouraging Frank. I think an ideal situation would be for Tom, once he turns 18, to take Pat, James, and Vlad. And maybe Elen. The purple car seats 5.

Either that or I could leave Kathleen home with someone, like Tom.
We’ve had a late lunch, with an emphasis on potato salad, a high-priority leftover item. Now it’s Naptime, and then we’ll go to the gym. We’re out of apples, so if I don’t forget, we can stop at Aldi on the way home from the gym and get milk and apples.

If they do, no one will see them until after the impeachment.

Potato salad sounds very good! I have two potatoes and some eggs, so I bet I could whomp some up in a hurry. For later consumption. I had a mini pizza for lunch today, and probably won’t eat again until tomorrow when I get the taco fixin’s ready for consumption. The good thing is that I can freeze the taco meat mix.
Lettuce, tomatoes and avocados aren’t very expensive, so that will be ok, too. Even a half pint of sour cream isn’t too costly.
It won’t be long before I’ll have to get meat again. It seems to increase in price exponentially each time I buy it.

Ah. That’s the camp run by a Council instead of the national BSA. When I went through Sea Badge, that camp was fairly new and specialized in ocean kayaking. One of the Council members was in the course with me.

Yes, it’s East Carolina Council. The regular camp there is Camp Boddie; that’s where Elen’s been working.
They’re talking about having some of the campers do the Kayak Trek next summer, if they can get enough adult volunteers to break into two groups.
