This year I am so tempted to fly the Yellow, Green and Black Rattlesnake Flag instead of the Red White and Blue, or at the very least fly both and put the Rattle Snake below Old Glory. But I am still trying to decide on it....
In some ways I feel like raising the Red White and Blue is akin to pretending that nothing is wrong in this country and there are a lot of things that are going wrong right now. In some ways it makes me feel like I am surrending to the normalcy bias.
I could always fly the UN Flag I got in order to find out who in my neighbor hood I can trust should SHTF, since the anyone who comes over on the 4th and yells at me I can trust and those who complement me on it I can put on my do not ever trust again list.
(side point: I bought the UN Flag for the very useful purpose of either defacing it or using it for strategic purposes should SHTF and the UN is involved).
I really do want to raise Old Glory again this year, but I get more sad and upset every single year that passes...
Dear Miss Gracie ....
Think of it in terms of the battle of Fort McHenry.
“...And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave? “
Yes. It still does.
And it’s still OUR Flag, and the other side can’t ever lay claim to it because they HATE it.
So put that Old Glory out and let every leftard POS see it, and show them that there are still Americans around.
And - if you’re feeling rebellious - add the Gadsden Flag right alongside (but slightly lower, for respect).
Sorry about my misspelling.
But yes...I am seeing it more and more.
Fly the naval version, which I like better anyway. Combines American stripes with snake not to step on.
I’ve had my Gadsden Flag flying since after election day in 2007. I took the American Flag down about 2 years ago. We’ve got 4 Gadsdens flying in my small neighborhood.
The good old Betsy Ross waving in the breeze— gotta love it.
PS. How come no one names their daughters ‘Betsy’ anymore?
That would be a high honor in remembrance of a true patriotic woman. Lord knows we have wayyyyyyy too many rotgut, arrogant, lieberal beethchies nowadays. Dime a dozen on both sides of the genders.
There were several stories about veterans flying the flag, not large ones, and the HOA told them to take them down. They considered the flag a banner and banners were not allowed. One vet was threatened with a fine or eviction. Happened in Texas.
The Stars and Stripes of course will be my flag. I read the book “Bunker Hill” and the mentioned a Liberty Tree Flag that said “Liberty Unity”. That would be a good one also.
I prefer the rectangular 13 stars, because not only do I like the design better, but it was much more common in battle than the circle that gets all the hype was.
These are just several. I searched on: HOA tells vet to take down flag.
us civilian flag. vertical white and red stripes, white field, blue stars.
How about Mary, for a woman who did actually definitely exist, and made a big flag for Ft. McHenry?
Of course, the flag design had already been invented, but still, she really did do it.
thats a good one too.
they need to make this flag, with the snake/don’t tread on me on the bars.
How about the Great Garrison Flag? It was the 15 star flag that flew over Ft McHenry.
That exists. That is the naval version of the Gadsden.
That was actually the national standard. All US flags had 15 Stars and Stripes.
I replaced my battered ol’ glory with the flag of the sovereign state of North Carolina a while back and don’t plan on flying her again until this national nightmare is over. I don’t know what I’ll fly if the dems retake the NC state houses ....probably just move.
Not so. We are allowed to fly our flag day and night if we want to.....our Auburn University one too.
Old Glory will wave in the breeze here in NW Florida for Independence Day.
