For years I’ve told people I’m a Republican “in name only” and when I eventually change my party affiliation that won’t even be the case.
Anyone who says different is either blind or whistling past the graveyard.

Yup, no party represents people who are grounded in reality and reason. Might be a few stray individual "R"s who start out that way, but how many quickly embrace the dark side. Sure seems like survival in DC requires that anyone not yet so aligned must immediately sell their souls to the devil.

Thad Cochran is unfit for office and won by bribing ignorant Blacks with our tax money. Any Mississippi conservative who votes for him in Nov. has no principles. Stay home or go to the polls and write in McDaniel. He is the only conservative in MS politics.

That’s how the NRSC got so many dems to show up for Cochran, even though these dems were supposedly so politically apathetic that they didn’t even vote in the primary...
The first thing we need to do is make the GOP-e wish they had never flipped the bird at the rule of law and the people they hope to get donations from. If you’re not a contributor to the NRSC, call them and tell them they need to put you on a list to NEVER, EVER, EVER call.

I quit the GOP last year. Stuff like this is why. The GOP can’t be saved. It can’t be reformed. It’ll always be a refuge for corporate whores and old men that’ll sell their souls for another term in office. There is zero real interest in small and limited government in the GOP.

It’s not unprecedented. McCain pulled this crap in Michigan in 2000, getting busloads of Detroit Democrats to vote for him in the Presidential primary over Dubya (who would never vote GOP in the general).
If it can be demonstrably proven that a candidate used such tactics where it made the difference in a close race (as this one in MS did), they should be immediately stripped of their nomination. They did it here in TN, except it was Democrats who did so with a sitting State Senator where we have an open primary.
