The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services makes no effort to determine the immigration status of adult relatives when they show up to claim unaccompanied minor children who entered the U.S. illegally, a spokesman at the agency confirmed on Wednesday.
Tens of thousands of the under-18s 'Unaccompanied Alien Children' (UACs) in government-speak have poured across the U.S.-Mexico border in recent months, creating what President Barack Obama has termed an 'urgent humanitarian situation.'
HHS, which houses them until family members can be found, has begun releasing illegal immigrant children 'by the hundreds' into the custody of adults who are illegal immigrants themselves, an HHS official familiar with the situation on America's southern border told MailOnline late on Tuesday.
An official spokesman for HHS's Administration for Children and Families confirmed on Wednesday that the agency has no system in place to verify whether the adults are here legally.
Kenneth Wolfe told MailOnline on Wednesday that 'around 90 percent of the minors in the UAC program are released to verified sponsors (mostly family members) in the U.S.'
Asked if 'verified' means that the adults' immigration status has been checked, he responded, 'No.'
He also answered 'no' when asked if there is 'an effort made to ascertain the immigration status of the adults who claim the kids.'(continued)

I don’t think so. One sibling group I had was taken from illegal aliens (anchor babies) then returned to them a few weeks later. Within a few months the social worker called me asking if I would take the children again as they were back in custody. It’s a revolving door for the kids and some time off for the deadbeat illegal parents with the foster families as free babysitters. And the state rarely severs “parental” rights.
How did the judge consider his mother to be ethnic since she was blond and blue eyed? Never mind. I know the answer. The system does not protect the children, it protects the abusive parents.
So sorry that you ( and especially the little boy) had to experience it.
But, but, Hillary! assured us these kids would be repatriated in the North to South direction!
What the pro-amnesty people forget to mention: There are millions of children in Asia and Africa who also desperately want to sneak to the United States, but the oceans stop them from doing so.
So is it fair to let these illegal immigrants from Latin America free admission when millions of desperate children in Asia and Africa want to sneak into the United States also? Sad this Obama administration.
Its a combo of both, but what the left care about more than anything right now is votes..and all those illegals you see are votes to them
***
Votes? If only that was it. No, this tsunami of aliens is being co-ordinated by the left to bring about the total destruction of our nation, of our sovereignty, of our American culture, of Judeo-Christian values, of civil society, and of the rule of law.
When the tidal wave has swept over all of the land, the US of A will be no more. In its place will be a Third World hell hole where English is spoken in isolated pockets by a minority of people who can’t seem to adjust to the new ways of paying bribes to government officials and police.
How do they know they are not delivering these children into slavery or prostitution, since they have to pay for getting up north somehow.
***
What? Are you trying to slow down economic expansion? The prostitution and slavery increase will now be leading indicators of economic development in the left’s new system.
Add in illegal drug sales and you have the new EUropean model.
Sadly, yes.
Ask what they intend to do about the massive invasion of illegal aliens into Texas, bringing crime, disease, drugs and unbelievable expense to the state to care for them.
This is sheer insanity!
HOUSTON, TexasGovernor Rick Perry (R-TX) appeared on Fox News Fox and Friends show and said Texas lacks the resources and manpower to secure the 1,200 mile Texas border... BS!
Other Texas elected officials, speaking on condition of anonymity have told Breitbart Texas that Texas does, in fact, have the resources to conduct not only a surge operation, but a prolonged border control operation that would secure the Texas border with Mexico.

I agree.
I have some friends that are US citizens of Korean heritage (over 40 so it’s more difficult to adopt in the US as I’ve been told) and they wanted to adopt a Korean baby (I understand that). They went though all the processes and appropriate channels. They were to be able to adopt a baby and were told they had been approved, that there was one for them and they thought (based on what was told to them) they would get the baby in a relatively short time. It took them TWO years to get the child due to governmental red tape (to be fair it was primarily on the So Korea side IIRC). The child was living in a foster home in So Korea. They were finally able to obtain parental status after two years. Given early child bonding with a parental figure is essential, it was and has been difficult for them and the child, but luckily, with a lot of hard work and patience it is working out and the child seems to have finally adjusted for the most part and has bonded with them. They want to adopt another child - God bless them for going through the hard work, heartaches, and determination. This child will have a wonderful life with two hard-working, loving, Christian parents.
