Hug your cat is one of those seeming pleasing straightforward holidays. Quite simply, it's a day which cat owners everywhere are encouraged to hug their cats.

My 21 year old cat doesn’t like hugs, but loves head and neck rubs, so I will do that.
Twenty one year old cat? Incredible and awesome! I wish my girls had lived that long. Please give yours a rub from me.
I do that in my dreams. I am a mighty lion and tiger whisperer.
In real life I’m afraid I might be lion chow. :)
Cat scratch fever needs more cowbell!
Actually, yes, please.i could really use one.
Thank you.
Will do!
I have a torbie who doesn’t like to be hugged, but she absolutely loves sitting in a lap and being petted. And when she gets her purr on, it’s like having a small-block V8 idling in your lap!
I don’t think I’m less than a hundred miles from the nearest Viking Kitty.
I hug my cats all the time. You just have to do it right. They like being
slightly constricted around their chests, just near their front legs. Gently
hugging them there gets me instant purrs and squinty eyes. Because I’m
always kind to them, they probably feel safe and contented when I hold
them that way. Anyway, they are always my good boy and good girls.
It's also, coincidentally, national "Get Treatment For Minor Lacerations Caused By Domesticated Animals Day".
Many years ago we did a two day long safari in Ngorongoro National Park in Tanzania. As we traveled the floor of the crater in our Land Rover we came upon a small pride of lions (or,at least, part of a pride) consisting of one male and three or four females. They were just lying in the sun not doing much of anything. The driver took us up to about 15 feet away from them.Several in the vehicle (including me) were somewhat frightened by our proximity and knowing this, the guide reassured us,saying "don't worry, they've just eaten".
I came close to being in need of a change of underwear after that adventure.
My cat just licked my doughnut while I was answering the phone...grrrr!
Get a Tetanus shot after having hugged your cat when it was in a really bad mood afternoon, June 4th.
At least he or she had the good sense not to eat the doughnut. Wouldn't be too good for him/her.
Awww!
My daughter hugged Bub this morning and paid for it with a swat to the cheek!
