The Fonda movie? Yes.
The book? Maybe, but it describes things of that time as they might have been witnessed by a non-Republican.
Was Steinbeck a socialist Democrat? Probably. But people who have read the book FIRST know that what he wrote is true.
And, once again, not every Democrat of that time was a socialist or a Marxist.

E-Reader’s (Nook or Kindle “eInk” screens, ‘Fire” models have a traditional computer screen) make fonts as large or small as you want. “Heart of Darkness” is public domain so is free to D/L for e-readers or is available at the following link as an HTML version that you can “Zoom In” on in your browser:

You could also just download the Kindle or Nook e-reader apps to your PC and use them to read ebooks on your PC screen...hard on the the eyes tho...”eink” readers are easier on the eye (no refresh rate).
