Alcon Entertainment has an offer out to Harrison Ford to reprise his role of Rick Deckard in its Ridley Scott-directed sequel to Blade Runner.
Original screenwriter Hampton Fancher and Michael Green are writing the new one, which takes place several decades after the conclusion of the 1982 original.
Alcon acquired Blade Runners film, television and ancillary rights in 2011 from producer Bud Yorkin to produce prequels and sequels of the sci-fi cult classic. Yorkin will serve as a producer on the sequel along with Alcons Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson. Cynthia Sikes Yorkin will co-produce. Frank Giustra and Tim Gamble, CEOs of Thunderbird Films, will serve as executive producers. Alcon actually sent a press release out that it offered the role to Ford (which is unusual in itself), but Ford gave an interview recently saying he was anxious to see the script. He has expressed interest in reprising the role in the past, but no deal is set as he has yet to read the script.

He’s 71. I think he looks terrific.
I’m sorry to hear that.
Harrison Ford doesn’t look particularly tired to me in his recent movies (nor does he look too elderly, especially considering he’s 71 now).
What he does seem to be is grumpy. I miss the old charming 80’s Harrison. In all his recent movies like Ender’s Game and Cowboys & Aliens, he plays a mean angry hard ass. Seems to be his thing lately. Lighten up, Indy.
I’m an old woman, Sir. That’s nothing I haven’t seen before.
...except for the doggy cha-cha, that is.
It’s possible that he’s not feeling well.
:)
Well, I sure hope that he feels better soon. He’s one of my favorite actors.
I’ve always liked his movies. I wish him well.
Amen.
Just letting you know, “fieldmarshaldj” got banned for a week because of this thread.
Well, it is a heated and controversial thread!
Indeed.
The new Carol Marcus is hot (and has an unexplained British accent), that’s about it for the “good”.
This is a pretty accurate synopsis of Star Trek Into Darkness. “Honest trailers”

5 minute vid, saves the you the need to see the whole movie.
Here’s the trailer for the first one which was more enjoyable despite it’s problems, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTfBH-XFdSc
Perhaps more because of his link in Post #214, since deleted.
As I mentioned in #217, it was very inappropriate for this site.
I’m glad he will only be gone for a week.
Alice Eve...
Well I won’t post the picture, not in this thread certainly!
But her bozangas, even in the oppressive prison of her pretty blue bra (I presume Uhura has a matching set in red, color-coded starfleet underwear), were probably the highlight of the film!
So of course that’s the only scene the writer apologized for, Damon Lindelof who was responding to whining feminists who called the scene “gratuitous and unnecessary” (barely dressed, attractive women are ALWAYS necessary in any movie if you ask me! ;p ). What a wuss and moron hack.
The more we’ve talked about that movie on this thread the less I like it, it’s less entertaining than the first one.
Trying to think of a scene I liked, I guess Kirk and “Kahn” making their way through space onto Robocop’s ship was pretty cool.
