The Maine Secession Movement is now actively inviting Born Again Christians to move to Maine from other states.
As the secession vote on June 12, 2018 moves ever closer, the Maine secession Movement is now actively encouraging Born Again Christian families in other states to put their property and business up for sale and move to Maine. This is being done in advance of the next release of the proposed Constitution for the Republic of Maine which will take effect immediately upon a successful vote for secession on June 12, 2018. This next release will include a section detailing how the entire border of Maine with both Canada and the United States, must be secured by Militia members and their families, resulting in nearly every square foot of land on the border being deeded over to members of the Militia who will live on the border, these parcels will range in size between 500 acres and 1500 areas.
A second reason is that we believe that as more and more, who will vote for secession, will move into Maine while more and more, who oppose secession, will start selling out and moving to other states where big government will remain. As an example, since education is reserved to the family first and then the local community with the State and the Counties explicitly denied any roll in education, we would expect that many NEA members will leave, all of the MEA staff will have no roll and will need to either leave or find gainful emplyment. Since welfare is non existent and is explicitly denied to any and all governments, but reserved to the churches and societies, we can think of no reason anyone currently on welfare will want to stay in Maine nor will there be any state positions for anyone now working in any of the welfare offices or bureaus.
To help Born Again Christians make their decision, below is the parts of the proposed Constitution that are now done. For additional information or help in locating property in Maine, please email freemaine at hushmail.com with "relocation" in the subject line.
PREAMBLE. We the people of the Republic of Maine, in order to establish justice, insure tranquility, provide for our mutual defense, promote our common welfare, and secure to ourselves and our posterity the blessings of liberty, acknowledging with grateful hearts the goodness of the Sovereign Ruler of the Universe in affording us an opportunity, so favorable to the design; and, imploring God's aid and direction in its accomplishment, do this twelfth day of June, in the year of our Lord 2018, by majority of the people voting do agree to form ourselves from henceforth into a free and independent Christian Nation, by the style and title of the Republic of Maine and do ordain and establish the following Constitution for the government of the same.
Article I. Declaration of Rights.
Section 1. Natural rights. All people are born equally free and independent, and have certain natural, inherent and unalienable rights, among which are those of enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring, possessing and protecting property, and of pursuing and obtaining safety and happiness.
Section 2. Power inherent in people. All power is inherent in the people; all free governments are founded in their authority and instituted for their benefit; they have therefore an unalienable and indefeasible right to institute government, and to alter, reform, or totally change the same, when their safety and happiness require it.
Section 3. Religious freedom; all Christian sects are equal; religious tests prohibited; religious teachers. All individuals have a natural and unalienable right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences, and no person shall be hurt, molested or restrained in that person's liberty or estate for worshiping God in the manner and season most agreeable to the dictates of that person's own conscience, nor for that person's religious professions or sentiments, provided that, that person does not disturb the public peace, nor obstruct others in their religious worship; all persons demeaning themselves peaceably, as good members of the State, shall be equally under the protection of the laws, and no subordination nor preference of any one Christian sect or Christian denomination to another shall ever be established by law, nor shall any religious test be required as a qualification for any office or trust, under this State; and all religious societies in this State, whether incorporated or unincorporated, shall at all times have the exclusive right of electing their public teachers, and contracting with them for their support and maintenance. Christian leaders, pastors and teachers are encouraged to keep their charges, congregations, students, etc informed of what the government is doing from the pulpit, in private and public conversations, debates or conversation in general. No law is to be passed that limits the rights of Christian participation, leadership, or criticism of the government of Maine, the counties, or the local municipalities. All public meetings are to open with the Lords prayer and close with a Christian benediction thanking the Lord for the preceding and imploring His safety for all leaving the meeting.
Section 3a. Business closed on Sunday. Since it would not be possible for the Republic of Maine to secede and be free without the will and Divine help of the Lord God of Creation, and since the Lord God of Creation clearly states that in six days He created the heavens and the earth and all that is them and on them, and that He rested on the seventh day, the people of the Republic of Maine shall, as a Christian nation, in deep and abiding gratitude to God Almighty, the Trinity, the Creator, allow no businesses any where within the borders of the Republic of Maine, other than those exempted in section 3b, to open on the Sundays from midnight to midnight.
Section 3b. Businesses exempt from Section 3a. Since God in the form of the Lord Jesus, did on numerous occasions in the New Testament, heal on the Sabbath day, we therefore declare that those businesses that are necessary for human life, such as hospitals, pharmacies, and doctors offices may be open on Sundays, but only to offer services and products necessary for human life, products that could not wait till Monday. The Legislature, shall after notifying and consulting with Christian pastors, determine a list of businesses that shall be allowed to open on Sunday in a strictly voluntary manner. No public celebrations, games, or parties shall be allowed on the Sabbath and may not be exempted.
Section 4. Freedom of speech and publication; libel; truth given in evidence; jury determines law and fact. Every citizen may freely speak, write and publish sentiments on any subject, being responsible for the abuse of this liberty; no laws shall be passed regulating or restraining the freedom of the press; and in prosecutions for any publication respecting the official conduct of people in public capacity, or the qualifications of those who are candidates for the suffrages of the people, or where the matter published is proper for public information, the truth thereof may be given in evidence, and in all indictments for libels, the jury, after having received the direction of the court, shall have a right to determine, at their discretion, the law and the fact.
Section 5. Unreasonable searches prohibited. The people shall be secure in their persons, houses, papers and possessions from all unreasonable searches and seizures; and no warrant to search any place, or seize any person or thing, shall issue without a special designation of the place to be searched, and the person or thing to be seized, nor without probable cause -- supported by oath or affirmation.
Section 6. The Militia and the standing army of 1,000. So as to insure and guarantee the rights guaranteed in this Constitution, every natural born male in the Republic of Maine, upon reaching the age of 18 years from conception through age 67 years from conception, has, as a member of the Militia, the obligation to keep and bear arms for the common defense, for his and his families protection, to defend against this government or any government in the future from becoming oppressive, tyrannical, or in any other way obnoxious to freedom, and to secure the rights written in this Constitution. This obligation shall never be questioned. No law shall be passed that restricts this obligation, except for time in a local jail, county jail or Maine Republic prison. No law shall be passed, test given, or fee assessed to any citizen of the Republic of Maine that would restrict in any way that citizens right to be armed either concealed or open. Males who are found to be or confess to being homosexuals are exempted from serving in either the Militia or the standing army. Males over the age of 65 may be voluntary members of the militia with the full rights of Militia members. Natural born males between the age of 16 years from conception to 18 years from conception may volunteer for militia service with the written permission of parents or guardians. The standing army of 1,000 shall be drawn from the militia by the commander of the Militia and is under the command of the commander of the militia who is appointed by and reports directly to the President.
Section 7. All human life is precious and a gift from God. Age is counted from the moment life begins, which is at the moment of conception and as such, all human life is protected from conception to death and has the full rights of this Constitution from conception. Any citizen of the Republic of Maine may use what ever force he or she deems necessary to protect human life. All abortions are considered first degree premeditated murder, children are entrusted, by God the Creator to that child's parents and as such are the responsibility of the parents, not the state, no level of Government whether local, county or Republic is to, in any way, over rule a parent in the rearing, educating, and/or influencing that child in any way.
Section 7a. Education. All education is left to the local community, to the parents first and foremost and then to the city, town or community in which the family resides. The counties and the Republic are explicitly denied any role in a child's education with the exception of Militia members while on duty and prisoners while in the care of the county jail or prison of the Republic. The first and foremost responsibility to teach a child Religion, obedience, patriotism, loyalty, righteousness, and to be a productive member of society rest squarely upon the shoulders of the parent(s), the local communities role is to support and reinforce that parental responsibility.
Section 8. Land use ordinances.
Good. However, given that the Catholics put a somewhat different meaning in the expression (it stems from a difference in interpretation of John 3:1-8), whereas as a rallying cry it tends to address Evangelical and Fundamentalist Protestant Christians, it needs to be explained. Perhaps “all Christians” or “all committed Christians” would serve your political purpose better.
I am also curious on what grounds the Islam is excluded as a recognized religion but Atheism is not?
islam is a religion that by it's very own determinations is a religion of killing, atheism isn't, for the most part, also we really can't think of any reasons those who deny Christ would want to be here.
But most of that stuff is over my paygrade, I am the public relations guy, the guy that post on FR, not the guy that makes the hard decisions.
OK, just curious. American atheists are largely benign, but having seen militant atheism in action in the USSR, I honestly would rather have the Muslims.
What does that have to do with this? The court ruled that the only way a state may legally and peacefully leave the Union is with the consent of the other states. The fact that Maine's constitution says you can leave means nothing if the other states say, "No you can't." Your theocracy is at the mercy of the other states. Better be nice to them.
Time will tell.
Yet we are to believe that this 4% will command a 60% majority in 2018 as they vote in a new constitution that renders 96% of the population second class citizens.
From 178 we understand that “Born Again” was probably used with a different intent. I agree that as stated, the appeal has little chance of being effective in Maine.
However, national moods and also regional moods can change. the loss of the American industrial base was especially devastating for Maine’s logging, shipbuilding and fishing industry. I would not be surprised if one day Mainers will begin questioning the liberals and progressives that gave them the current mess. And then an appeal like this, tuned up a bit perhaps, in a state that often feels itself as a bit foreign to the flatlanders down south, might go farther than we now imagine.
It's a problem of false logic. Example:
Pornography store = bad for the community
Baby clothes store = also a store
Therefore,
Baby clothes store = bad for the community (some people are NOT babies!)
The Taliban form a government based on a religious belief
The RoM forms a government based on a religious belief
Somehow one is wrong and one is right
You are delusional
You are looking to replace the Constitution with a religion, not restore it. You are ESTABLISHING A RELIGION, which is prohibited by my constitution. YOU ARE THE TALIBAN!
There really are such things as right vs. wrong, good vs. bad, up vs. down. At bottom, that is the issue you are having so much trouble with.
The jihadist says you are wrong, that God is on his side. And he has a book to prove him correct. How do you refute his argument?
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Specifically,
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion
You are not restoring the Constitution. You are destroying it. As the Taliban would.
And what’s even more fun is the statement from their cockeyed Constitution: “This obligation shall never be questioned” (referring to the obligation to be part of the militia).
So, forget the Freedom of Speech too.
People question the current U.S. Constitution every day. We wouldn’t have amendments if the Constitution wasn’t questioned.
The Theocracy of Maine will have neither Freedom of Religion or Freedom of Speech.
Exactly. They know better. As does the Taliban.
I can tell you how. One is false religion and the other is true religion.
Anyone can write anything. Because it was written, and especially because islamic adherents are forced to follow it or die, doesn't make it truth.
Actually, I'm not. The RoM group is, and I have no connection to them whatsoever. I merely enjoyed tossing the idea of it around on this thread, until you decided to become hysterical and sling around wild fantasies and call names. I have tried to post reasonable points, but you seem to lack proper debate skills. If you are old enough to be a father of five, you are old enough to do better. I can only conclude that you are actually still in mom's basement. Good luck to you going forward.
YOU ARE THE TALIBAN!
Nope, not that, either. Ta ta.
You are advocating replacing the US Constitution with a theocracy. That is what the Taliban is trying to do, in a slightly different way. I am sorry for you that you do not have the intellect to see the comparison. You can continue to insult me and call me names - I forgive you.
I pray that God gives you the wisdom to see the noble experiment that is the US Constitution and America. It is a gift from God. You should work to restore the vision of the founders, instead of trying to destroy it.
For the last time, I’m not working for them. You are either drunk while posting, or dyslexic; but most likely a troll. Go away. You are not going to win an argument that only you are having with your imagination, in view that your accusations have wildly misinterpreted what I’ve posted. Go away now.
