IMO the restaurant should not be culpable unless a member of their corporate staff wrote the slur (highly unlikely). And the waitress should be liable only if she wrote the slur. She should not be punished for making it known that it appeared on the receipt.

So then after the completion of a full investigation into this matter in which Miss Jenkins admitted to violating company policy by posting guest information online -- slanderous information at that and benefitting financially to the tune of $10,000 -- she returns to work after months of paid leave with no repercussions.

Almost every one of these incidents turns out to be a hoax perpetrated by the so-call "victim." I'm going to go with the trend and say that in all probability the black waitress wrote it on the reciept herself hersef.
White males deserve a little more respect. IMO the waitress doesn’t believe this. It would be interesting to follow this case. I wonder if we’ll hear more. The $10k the waitress received won’t go very far in lawyer’s fees. But that’s the American way.
