NEW YORK (AP) — A slice of the New York City area mainstream — a police officer, a fire department paramedic, a rabbi, a nurse, a Boy Scout leader — used the Internet to anonymously collect and trade child pornography, federal officials said Wednesday.
The six were among at least 70 men and one woman charged in a five-week operation by the Homeland Security Investigations arm of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Federal officials, who planned to announce the arrests a news conference later Wednesday, call it one of the largest local roundups ever of people who collect images of children having sex — and a stark reminder that they come from all segments of society.

Before the questions are asked regarding DHS/ICE involvement in a child porn case, here is the reason. Most child porn cases at some point cross international boundaries, which puts it into ICE jurisdiction. Almost none of these cases are ICE alone. Most are task force cases involving state and other federal agencies, as well.

Some answers. Certainly true pedophilia is a disorder and these people have a compulsion to look at this stuff.
My second answer is that we live in a liberal progressive media driven society and I think idiot immorality is rampant out there. A lot of these people think it’s “no big deal” just like the illegal drugs they are buying and selling, and all the lying they do at work and to gain government benefits, etc.
No one wants to make the link that leftism leads to increased immorality and shoulder shrugs from the mindless thugs we are creating.
Am I exaggerating? Just think about the fact that schools have no religion and the teachers can’t tell the kids to behave morally. What is the result.
This is what the Homosexual movement is all about. These people are currently largely limited to illegal pornography to feed their perversions. They want to be able to access it freely and openly, but more importantly, they want free access to our children and grandchildren and they want to make sure that society accepts it and punishes anyone standing in their way.
This is why we don’t want homosexual males as scoutmasters or in any other supervisory position over children. Homosexual men are predators and see young boys as easy prey. Almost all homosexual males would engage in child rape if given the opportunity.
Yeah, I would not want ICE to control the borders. Oh, wait, isn’t that what they ge paid to do?
I do not care if they are “sick”, can’t help themselves. I would work cheap—save millions of dollars in attorney fees, incarceration, appeals, probation/parole, follow on offenses and prosecution, just nip it in the bud.

What is also scary to me is: what is there to stop a skilled hacker from breaking into your computer or smart phone then downloading some kiddie porn on to it? Then, they can concoct some excuse to use a search warrant and “find” the porn there. They arrest your butt, run the news all over the media, and the lie is around the world before the truth has a chance to get its boots on.

I absolutely agree that this is a morality problem, and
I believe that as our society becomes more amoral, we are seeing more of this and things like this.
It seems like many are simply losing the ability to distinguish between right and wrong.
Speaking out of experience from my own life, it is apparent that the brain produces good thoughts and bad thoughts, but it is up to me to determine which are good and bad, and to act on the good ones and completely disregard the bad ones.
And I think what makes that judgment in me is my soul. I am not my brain, and I am not my heart. Those are organs that I have, but they are not who I am.
But I am my soul, and that is what has to win out.
I don’t mean to ramble on that, it’s kind of heard to speak of in a clear manner I guess, but I think some people in this world may be missing that, or may be unable to distinguish what it is that drives them or should drive them.
I feel like they are lost, and it’s very sad, and it leads to Hell on earth for some people, most especially the children involved in this.
