Our G-d is an awesome G-d.
Beautiful.
The article didn’t say how much they weigh, but they are a couple of hefty lil gals for twins — look like 5.5 or 6 lbs each. That’s a lotta pregnant. Luckily there was only one sac, or that would have added another 1.5 - 2 lbs. Great job, Mom!
5 years ago my daughter found out she was carrying monoamniotic triplets..It’s still impossible to describe how you go from utter joy (triplets!!!!..I couldn’t wait...) to total despair, as we found out..the long list of complications..the very high probability of multiple birth defects. It challenges your faith...she had a miscarriage a few weeks later..that’s also fairly common with these pregnancies..happily, 15 months later, they had a beautiful baby girl..
A lovely Mother’s Day gift. I have never heard of the surname Thistlewhistle. I’m sure it has a long rich history. I suspect that may be a Scot name. The Scots have a flag with a thistle on it because a tall growth of purple thistle walled them off and offered protection from an invading army centuries ago. Is it common for today’s mothers to post photos of their newborns to the public? She must have given the hospital approval.
Very cool I am a twin so this stuff always gets my attention
And they'll be going at it mano-a-mano for the next 16+ years or so ....
Beautiful photo - - thanks for posting.
Dang Blurry Screen!
Amazing.....thx for sharing. Especially on Mother’s Day.
That is really cute, but those girls are going to need each other if they are going to carry the name “Thistlewhistle” through school. Can you imagine the teasing?
I wonder if they were born Cesarean or naturally?
Aww! That is wonderful!
I didn’t realize it is that rare! My twin girls were in one sack also. They will be 37 in Sept. My how time flies! Having twins was a lot of fun! They have spent a lifetime trying to look different however...lol
Lots of twins on both sides of my family. My grandmother was a twin also. True story...my grandmother was named Estee and her sister was Uvee (ST & UV for those in Rio Linda...lol). My first cousins, also twins, begged me not to rhyme my girls’ names and I took their advice. My girls are grateful that I didn’t rhyme them.
After seeing this, how can anyone say that life begins only at birth
Nice! They seem to be a pretty good size for twins, too.
