Can't argue that his job is to expand and increase the economic and military security of his nation. He seems to be doing a better job at that than almost any other leader of a major nation right now.

I wish we had a President that had the same attitude regarding ‘taking care of business’. The entirety of the rest of the world should not matter as much as the slight inconvenience of an American citizen- THAT'S what I'm hiring a POTUS for; really couldn't care if that means Africa or the ME is a glass-fused parking lot as long as there is one homeless veteran or one honest job seeker still looking for work.

I think of Putin much as I do a Great White shark: admire the efficiency and focus while being respectfully wary and keeping my powder dry.

Putin was never the head of the KGB. I respect Putin, I recognize his ability as a diplomate and leader—but I do not “like” him. Respect yes, fear, maybe, But “Like” never. I recognize that he is a Patriot for Russia and would like to see her a super power and empire. I might say that Putin is a Christian of sorts—as he interprets it. Repect yes, but I do not think he gives a fig about America—or any other nation—only as far as it will help Russia. He must love Obama—because with him in charge—the USA will not act.
