There’s a little bit of over-reaction here. The Constitution was indeed written by the Founders who wanted a stronger (if only barely) federal government than was created by the Articles of Confederation, which was deemed too weak to allow for the states to operate as a coherent nation.

Well, to some extent I think Alexander Hamilton was a British ass kissing big government tyrant. He constantly went at loggerheads with those who wanted closer ties to France, and gave us the first experiment in central bank planning in the first US central bank.
