A Knoxville photographer has captured a police officer on camera using what looks like excessive and unnecessary force on a college student. The sequence of photographs show the young man complying with Knox County deputies as they lead him to a police van at the University of Tennessee, before an officer uses two hands to choke the student until he is unconscious. The young man was arrested during a wild college party celebrating after a week of finals that spilled out onto the street on Saturday night.

It ain’t pretty, skippy, and I can imagine I’d just shoot the modern college fools rather than just put them to sleep by pressing the carotid arteries.

Agreed. The Frat Boys around here cause more problems then the gang bangers.
They’re often involved with vandalism, theft, drug trafficking, and other crimes. I don’t want to paint them all with a broad brush, so I’ll say it’s not all, but whenever I go out at night and trouble turns up, it’s wearing Greek lettering and driving a BMW.

I noticed the jack-booted thuggery beginning back in the 90s, even in small bedroom communities and rural towns.
The good old boys on the beat morphed into gestapo thugs.
“Serve and Protect” has become “beat and intimidate”.
Cops are the ENEMY of the American People.

Correct-—it was a STRANGLEHOLD!!
I can figure is the cop did that to throw fear into the other kids. “See this you little maggots?, this could be YOU, if you keep acting up! You want some of this? Take a picture, why don’t you?!” That choke was not at all necessary and could have caused a stroke in certain individuals.
Sounds like attempted murder to me. Book him.
Really, 2nd? I am surprised that you are sticking up for this thug. VERY surprised. And saddened...
The other disquieting thing here is that the “sheriff” uses his patrol vehicles to advertise who “he” is. Is this another “Southern Custom.?”
