Has anyone wondered...how did Glenn Beck get wealthy so quickly?

I have wondered about Beck for a while, but loved his exposure of the communist network in the US. Since he left FOX...he seems to have changed...and the immediate disregard to the Bundy situation really made me sick. Beck didn't even give the guy the benefit of the doubt and touted the NYT version.

I know he has risen to fame since 2001, ghost written several books, had rallies, etc....but to have a network, now? A base in NY....a major website (so buggy and full of cookies it puts me off).

Does anyone else find this strange?

And claims to be for the liberty movement but cowers at an old gent saying (what he considers) off-colored remarks? Hello 1st Amdmt!

He's make statements his thinking has “evolved”

The thing is if you understand evolution it functions by being exploiting and opportunistic ..

Evolution is by nature movement driven by random external "carrot and stick" forces..... not by thought or “intelligence”..

Evolution is fine for necessary physical change to an environment because it path of least resistance ..the lowest cost solution..

But evolution is terrible for forming thought or seeking truth which is normally a path of most resistance and heavy adversity ...its comes at high cost

Evolved thinking is thought formed by external pressure to adapt to the common "wisdom" of your surrounding

Beck is buying respectability from the world by selling his soul to the worlds thinking.

Bottom line Beck is a major Orson Wells fan and he is following the arc of Citizen Kane. .the idealist / yellow journalist / to respectability via selling out to the powers that be

From what I remember, a group visited GW Bush in the White House and Beck and Levin were in the group. Beck kissed GW Bushes ass so much it was unreal. Then went out and stabbed Bush in the back the next couple weeks.

Beck was one of the first self professed “Conservatives” to back away from the Obama eligibility issue. In fact he ridiculed it on O’Reilly’s show a few times. Never bothered with him after that.

A guy who reckons he cares about the Constitution but doesn’t understand how important the natural born citizen clause is?

I’m no Beck fan, but casting aspersions on the creation of his wealth—when we’ve seen him build a media empire from radio to TV, publishing and the Internet—just because you disagree with his coming down on the side of the law in one particular issue is really uncalled for, IMO.

Unlike most other conservative talk show hosts, he did real research and presented the results to a large number of Americans who had recently become interested and passionate about public policy, because of the Tea Party movement.. He quickly developed a large following.
