The Weekly Gardening Thread is a weekly gathering of folks that love soil, seeds and plants of all kinds. From complete newbies that are looking to start that first potted plant, to gardeners with some acreage, to Master Gardener level and beyond, we would love to hear from you. This thread is non-political, although you will find that most here are conservative folks.
No matter what, you wont be flamed and the only dumb question is the one that isnt asked. It is impossible to hijack the Weekly Gardening Thread. There is no telling where it will go and... that is part of the fun and interest. Jump in and join us!
NOTE: This is a once a week ping list. We do post to the thread during the week. Links to related articles and discussions which might be of interest are welcomed, so feel free to post them at any time.
Never occurred to me that would work. Thanks.
You’re welcome, greeneyes.
Remember where I am from, we used a weather rock for weather reports. LOL
My wife picked up a smooth stone the other day in the shop and was going to toss it into the rock garden, when I stopped her “that’s my weather rock” She knows! LOL
We still have the hoops and frost covers for overnight on the three raised beds. A new bed is being built for squash and a few melons. We probably wont plant these today as everything is very wet.
The rain was welcome but we saw the wind had knocked down a billboard on Hwy 54 on the way to dinner.
We’ll get the bird netting out to replace the frost covers and hoops this weekend.
Were you in Boy Scouts?
We got almost 1 inch last night. Some wind, but not too bad.
Yes we did. Not a lot, but hopefully enough to make the morels start to pop. I’m going to hit the woods after work and find out.
They threw me out cuz I couldn’t tie knots!
We need rain here. Our yard is turning to sand, again.
